What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Need to add 3 more classes and get arenas and battlegrounds added into the game before I would consider it fully completed. We're committed to regular updates and want player feedback to help shape these additions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in Early Access for 1-2 years while we add planned features and polish.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will be a more complete experience with more content and features. Specifically, we plan to add 3 more classes (bringing the total to 6), as well as new arena and battlegrounds modes for players to enjoy.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game is we have 3 classes to play, a leveling experience, an open world where you can fight against other players in 5v5 free for all. Items that allow progression and augmentation of player strength. We have social systems to keep track of friends and make new ones. Maps to help you traverse towards objectives and quests with meaningful rewards.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is free-to-play and will remain free-to-play throughout Early Access and after full release. We plan to introduce optional in-app purchases in the future, likely in the form of a premium service that offers modest boosts to item drop rates and experience gain.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'll make a discord. Ideas on what to put into the game would be welcomed. Any bugs could be posted and investigated.”

About This Game

Iron Online is an open-world PvP game built around classic tab-target combat inspired by classic MMORPGs. Choose from 3 classes — Warrior, Mage, or Priest — each with 3 unique specs, and spend your first minutes leveling up and completing quests to learn your abilities.

Once you're ready, head out into the open world, where combat is structured as a 5-person free-for-all. Group up with friends before you head out, or find other players in the world and ask to join their group via whisper or join request. Working together with a group of 5 is key to surviving and thriving in the wilds.

Explore the map to find temples that grant temporary buffs, and open chests scattered across the world for gear and bonus effects. Combat carries real risk but stays casual and low-stakes: if you die, you keep all your gear, but you'll be sent back to the starting zone, losing your position in the world.

Iron Online is designed to be a fun, casual PvP experience first — with Rated Arena and Battlegrounds modes, plus new classes like Paladin and Druid, coming in future updates.

Currently in Alpha, with active development and regular updates.
