What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Game development is a very long process when it's only 2 people working on it. Therefore, we decided to release the game in chapters, and do it in a way that rewards our customers for buying early and allows them to provide valuable feedback to help improve the game on future updates and chapters!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're anticipating around 15 - 20 chapters total, and it should take around 6 months for each chapter to be completed and released as an update. As we progress, I expect that some chapters will be completed much faster as we get to the point where the majority of the assets are already complete. We're already working on the next chapter as I write this, so there will also be some overlap in the development. If I had to guess, I'd say 5 years at best, but it could take up to 8 at most.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our initial release will contain the first chapter, "Day One: Unwitting Liberation", which will introduce several of the main characters including the first three main playable characters and one of the main villains. The plan is to add several more primary and secondary party members to join at various points in the story. The idea is for each character to master new battle skills as they learn more about the world and themselves. The first chapter explores only a tiny portion of one continent on the world map. Our vision is to expand your reach and give you lots more to explore and many more ways to get yourself into trouble!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial release consists of the first episode, "Day One: Unwitting Liberation", which is about 1.5 to 2.5 hours of content (depending on how much exploring or grinding you do). This is a fully fleshed out and complete chapter in which you'll start out with your first two playable party members who will both learn new battle skills and pick up new (and technically OLD) weapons and equipment. You will also join up with your third party member during the first episode, and encounter the first of many gods who may or may not be interested in assisting you on your quest!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price by a small amount every time a new episode is added, but the updates will be free, so if you bought it early at its lowest price, that's all you'll ever pay! This is how we reward our customers for purchasing during early access. There will be no paid DLC or microtransactions or any of that craziness!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Constructive criticism is welcome. This is an RPG Maker game and we're not professional game developers, so we're limited on what types of changes/improvements we can make. We are open to ideas on how to improve, though. The best way to get in touch with us would be through our Facebook page located here:
Be sure to give us a "like" or a "follow" while you're there... if you're into that sort of thing.”
