What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because Occulto is a deep, atmosphere-driven adventure created by a small, independent team. Releasing in Early Access allows us to keep our studio, Sirio Art Games, financially sustainable and completely independent while we focus on producing the final chapters of the story.

Furthermore, as a pure point-and-click adventure with unique visual riddles, player feedback is vital for us. Early Access gives us the chance to work alongside our community to balance the difficulty of the puzzles, ensure the narrative flow feels right, and catch any bugs before the full release. By joining us now, players directly shape the final experience”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Occulto will remain in Early Access for approximately 1.5 to 2 years. Because we are a small independent team crafting hand-drawn levels and intricate puzzles, this timeframe allows us to release new content in cohesive, polished groups of levels while ensuring we have enough time to implement player feedback and properly test each update.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Think of Occulto as a literary trilogy: the Early Access version launches with the equivalent of the first two books completely playable (the first 20 levels).

The full version will complete the story, introducing the final 'book' of the trilogy through sequential updates that bring the total to 38 levels. In addition to the conclusion of the narrative, the final release will feature overall refinements, including enhanced visual effects, audio polishing, and full optimization based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable, stable, and features the first 20 cohesive levels of the adventure (comprising over 20 unique hand-drawn scenes).

To give an idea of the scope, some of these levels are expansive and split into multiple interconnected scenes—such as a complex labyrinth level inspired by Monument Valley mechanics, which alone spans 5 scenes. All core gameplay mechanics, puzzle systems, and atmospheric audio for this first major segment are fully implemented, offering a complete and polished experience for the beginning of the trilogy."”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we want to reward our early supporters. The game will be available at a lower price during Early Access—approximately 15% to 20% cheaper than the final release price.

Please note that this baseline Early Access price will still be eligible for standard Steam seasonal sales and promotional discounts. Once the full version launches with all 38 levels and the complete story, the price will increase to its final standard rate.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe that building Occulto alongside our players is the best way to make the game shine. We will be actively gathering feedback, bug reports, and puzzle-balancing suggestions through our Steam Discussion Boards and our dedicated Reddit community.

We will also share regular development updates, behind-the-scenes content, and progress reports on our social media channels, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and our website. We encourage players to share their thoughts, theories, and frustrations with the trickier riddles—your voice will directly influence the polish and fine-tuning of the final levels!”

About This Game

Occulto is an indie adventure game with a focus on artistic hand-drawn visuals and a non verbal game play.

It is being developed by two fans of the genre. This is our very first game and we want to create an artistic adventure game, with challenging riddles, hand drawn scenes, animations and original soundtracks.

The whole game is under development, and its release will be approximately on the end of 2024 or the first months of 2025. Please be patient, this is a truly indie game! :)

You will guide Eliot, a young apprentice of magic, through riddles, mysteries, traps and help him find his teacher who has mysteriously disappeared.

An evil Presence is looking for a powerful book which is in the possession of the teacher.
