Why Early Access?

“We haven't finished developing the full product yet. We have plans for more content but we are not sure what the community might prefer. We would like to continue adding content as the project progresses with the support of our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are two developers on this project: a generalist and an artist. We want to have a full release of the product in 8-12 months but given the size of our team, we might not be able to if any of us two encounter complications of a personal nature. However, we will do our best to stay below the 12 months mark for a full release, and always keep you up to date in the process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the early access focuses on core gameplay elements and offers the exploration of the story to a lesser extent, the full release will - at least partially - conclude the story, while adding features according to the community's suggestions and feedback.
The main features contained in the full release as opposed to their counterparts/incomplete versions from early access are:
- Addition of boss encounters with unique mechanics for each region;
- Incremental addition (during EA & up to the full launch) of two branches, with two specializations each, for every class (6/class, 24 in total);
- Free unit stat allocation with each level to further expand party composition & customization;
- Skill Imbue system - specific & specialized skill mechanic and stat alterations through itemized skill extensions;
- More regions - leading to more themes, more dungeons, more lore, and overall, more content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We currently have a working gameplay loop - which still requires some tweaking and further testing, as well as a fair amount of lore which will be available for players to discover as soon as we start the early-access. We well also be providing a minimum of three regions, each comprised of a progression of 6-10 dungeons of three different kinds: short, medium & long. For a list of features the EA version will include, please refer to the game description section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on relying on the community for constructive feedback, bug reports, feature requests as well as votes for certain feature priorities from among those we have in store for you, as we progress with their implementation.”

About This Game

Become an Arhaekon, bind warriors to your will and fight your way through the corrupted world. Recover lost treasures & knowledge, bleed your minions and forge them into something more, rebuild what has fallen into decay and lay waste to the abominations holding the world captive, in our Tactical turn-based dungeon crawler.
Features:
- Dark, bleak atmosphere
- Roguelike elements including procedural dungeons, character & units perma-death and more
- Thematic regions with specific dungeons & enemy units
- Encounter-based, turn-based tactical combat system
- Four unit classes with highly synergetic abilities to fight your battles
- Unit experience and level progression (each with upcoming unique development trees/specializations) (currently, stat bonuses are automatically allocated on unit level up)
- Corruption System - your unit's health is not your only concern. They will slowly lose their faith and become corrupted by the power of the horrors they encounter
- Unit management - restore your unit's faith decisively by committing them to the Purgatory and mend their broken bodies by assigning them the Medical Ward - if it isn't already full
- Camp management - Upgrade and manage your ragged refugee camp & facilities
- Loot - loot essences, augments, map coordinates to special dungeons, recover pages of lost knowledge containing lore & bestiary-like compendiums, find ritual rites and perform them at your Sanctum
- Multiple currencies - Earn the favor of demigods by making sacrifices at the scattered altars found in your righteous path, for only their favor can fuel your rituals
- Crafting system - The knowledge of upgrading the level of augments or essences or obtaining new ones was lost, but the compendium of shaping is still at your disposal
- Game progression - Unless you seal the regions you've fought to cleanse, abominations will come back. Ignore the dangers further, and they will invade your camp
- Punishing decision-making - Augments are bound to your units! They may only be removed or replaced, but never re-used.
