Miksi Early Access?

We aim to make a unique horror multiplayer game that can be a playground for everyone, both players and us developers. At this stage, we need player feedback and involvement to help us further shape the game.

With our decade experience shipping 4 horror titles, we realize that having players involved at this stage would be crucial to shaping this game even better, rather than if kept development internally.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Our current plan is to release the game in Q1 2024, however depending on the player's feedback and community suggestions it may change, and we will leave Early Access when we are certain that we can deliver the best version of the game.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

In addition to bug fixes, improvement, and balancing the core gameplay, we plan to add a lot more content to the game. This includes more gameplay Modes (Solo and Single Player), characters, maps, Spectro/ghosts, lore, and much other content that we may get from community feedback.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current build provides players with 6 Characters to choose from, 2 Spectro to choose from, 1 map, 1 gameplay mode, 10 game modifiers cards, 10 customizable emotes and comms, and saving XP that will be useful for the full release. With the XP saved during Early Access, players that were already involved at the Early access would be rewarded at the full release, as a token of appreciation from us

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

The price will not change during early access however we plan to raise the price upon release.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We will be pooling all the feedback and suggestions from the Steam community, Discord server, and across our social media. Depending on the reception, we may include voting on future content with the community to decide which one will be included in the next iteration. Private betas will be also considered to be offered to the community and can influence the future shape of the game.

“Early Access Impressions – That said, I do see some clear potential in DreadHaunt, and once you get the hang of the mechanics, it can be fun to play with friends. At the moment, it’s very reasonably priced, which is always a plus, and my prior positive experiences with Digital Happiness’ creative output is making me cautiously optimistic about the overall future of the game. But at the same time, the game is currently in a very early stage (and is advertised as such, so fair enough on that front) and is going to need a lot more content and variety to not only draw players in, but to keep them as well.”

Horror and Deceptions

Play either as an agent or the demonic-possessed one that is hiding among us.

Unique Ghost Hunting Tools

Utilizing retro equipment mixed with quirky local ghost-hunting tools.

Contain. Dispose. Survive!

Play as one of the Class E field agents and containment personnel to secure and establish initial containment over a designated anomalous entity, objects, or supernatural phenomenon.

Challenging gameplay

In this asymmetrical multiplayer game, no two DreadHaunt play-throughs are the same. No one knows who will be possessed during the game, and which ghosts will appear.

More content, more scares, and no microtransactions

Have fun selecting your favorite character skins, customize your emotes, and enjoy our future updates that contain new maps, ghosts, characters, and game modes—bringing a new level of Dread just for you. No microtransactions. Just DLCs.

Deckbuilders as Game Modifiers

Utilizing a card-based system, players can modify outcomes of the game, such as player's stats, weather, ghost spawn, etc.
