Why Early Access?

“We're a small indie team, and Early Access lets us share the game with players while it's still growing. Your feedback will directly shape how Unmotivated Heroes develops — we want to build this together with the community rather than in isolation. The game is already fun and playable, but there's much more we plan to add before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for approximately 4–5 months, with a full release planned for November 2026. This timeline may shift slightly depending on development progress and community feedback, but we're committed to a 2026 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the full first floor of the house — living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two home offices — with all core mechanics. We plan to add the complete second floor (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a walk-in closet) for the full release, along with an optional side job mechanic for Dad, an expanded furniture shop, Steam achievements, and additional humor moments throughout the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is stable and fully playable. Early Access includes the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two home offices on the first floor, with all core mechanics: cleaning, painting, floor covering, furniture placement, the family motivation system, and the home comfort level system. The furniture shop offers a variety of items to decorate each room. The experience is complete and enjoyable, with more content planned for updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to raise the price at full release as we add the second floor, new mechanics, and additional content. We recommend getting the game during Early Access to lock in the lower price. We appreciate early supporters and want to reward them for joining us at this stage.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively read and respond to feedback in the Steam community hub and plan to post regular development updates. Player suggestions will genuinely influence what we prioritize — whether that's new furniture items, mechanics, or quality-of-life improvements. We want Unmotivated Heroes to feel like a game built with its players, not just for them.”

About This Game

Unmotivated Heroes is a cozy but chaotic life simulator where the main goal is not to kill dragons, but to remove stains from the carpet.

An ordinary family finds themselves in a "brave new world" full of oddities. But instead of carrying the heavy burden of saving this world, they choose the most interesting way: to arrange their home.

Key Features:

Family Row: Switch between family members! Each character has their own role. Mom expertly paints the walls, Dad takes on the hard work, and the kids... Well, they're their parents' main helpers.

Your home is your rules: Use a dynamic renovation system to paint walls, change floor coverings, and arrange furniture. Turn a chaotic space into a dream home.

Household Chaos: Fight against endless dirt, broken chairs, and mysterious trash. Every action is worth Motivation — spend your family's desire to work wisely!

Generative AI tools were used during the development process in the following areas:

3D Assets & Texturing: We utilized tools such as ChatGPT and Grok to generate visual references and base textures. These references were then used in conjunction with Meshy.ai to assist in the creation of 3D models and their corresponding textures.
Code & Programming: An AI-based coding assistant was used to help write, refactor, and optimize the game's GDScript logic, including character movement, interaction systems, and UI components.
All AI-generated elements have been reviewed, integrated, and refined by the development team to ensure a high-quality experience for players.
