What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Monastery is a complex game. Now the development process reached the point when we consider it necessary to share with the public so that they can provide valuable feedback. The aim of the Early Access version is to make the game reach its full potential. We would mainly like to focus on balancing but all constructive comments are needed.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to remain in Early Access until late 2026 or early 2027.
Development direction is shaped by player feedback, and scope may evolve as systems expand.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We expect to have generally more content in the final version. Overall, we are looking forward to expand the game from now on and to introduce:

Areas
Additional areas and enemies
Expanded gear sets and card pools
Balance tuning
Quality-of-life improvements
New mastery progressions

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version offers a stable, fully playable experience featuring multiple areas with complete run progression, more than 300 cards, a gear-based deck identity system, weapon mastery progression, and boss encounters with distinct mechanics.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We would like to make the Early Access version available for most players, and also as a thankful gesture for their trust, we propose a reduced price. After our Early Access launch, the price of Monastery will increase to reflect the amount of content we’ve added over the course of Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Your feedback is really important for us and we are looking forward to read it on the Steam forum or on our Discord channel! We want to encourage the players to share their opinion and experience so that we can help the game to reach its full potential.”
