Why Early Access?

“We really believe in the power of community-informed game development and the Early Access model is the best way to harness this! We want to connect with the community to validate our decisions around game features, and content in Eyes of Hellfire.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will depend on a few things! For example, a lot will depend on how development evolves after we launch Early Access and what the community tells us about our game. All going well, we foresee Eyes of Hellfire to be approximately one year (or 12-18 months) in Early Access. But that being said, even when Eyes of Hellfire is no longer in Early Access, we hope to keep it updated using all the key principles our team used when creating the game itself! We’re excited to see you all play.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to launch Early Access as early as possible in our development process so that we can get YOU, the players, involved in testing our game. Early Access launch will include one full scenario and five playable characters all with unique passive abilities. There will also be personal goals to achieve. Utilising proximity chat, we want EA to be a solid experience so that players get used to our mechanics, features and content.

We expect the full version to include viable changes from suggestions we receive from the community such as general fixes, but also sizeable new content, new characters and gameplay features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build provides players with a collaborative multiplayer experience through proximity chat.

Enter the grounds of the Hellfire Club. Cautiously explore, cooperate, evade the violent entities within the lodge and discover what you can while you each attempt to lift your curse. Escape before your soul is lost.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We anticipate the price increasing when we bring Eyes of Hellfire out of Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We intend to regularly post about the game in our studio Discord and post occasional, larger updates on Steam. However, we don’t plan to use the Steam forums as our primary community or communication hub.

Our Discord is a safe environment where the community can share feedback with our game development team and other players. Player feedback will help shape the overall experience of Eyes of Hellfire as we move the game closer to completion.”
