What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“While we have a good grasp on what Histera should be and how it should work, there’s no better way to get feedback than letting the community put it all to the test. Early Access is for us, as developers, a perfect way to connect with our players. We'd love to get your input on how to improve Histera from early development until full release (and beyond). Early Access provides us with this opportunity, so we hope to work together with players on polishing and refining Histera to be the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to release Histera approximately 6 to 12 months after our Early Access launch. This depends mostly on the feedback of the community and how easy it is to implement any changes that come up as a result of that feedback during Early Access. We will be communicating progression through our , social network channels and our roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access we will be adding additional content like new Eras, weapons, and cosmetics. We’re also aiming to add new features like extra games modes, improved progression mechanics, and a battle pass system. Aside from content, we will continue to improve the basics of Histera, like movement, gun handling, glitch mechanics and the look and feel of the game. We will prioritize these content updates and new features based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Histera currently has the core team deathmatch game mode, and three Eras - each with a range of weapons and map sections. The Glitch is fully functional, and a basic progression system to unlock weapons is also in the game. The game is entirely playable and a lot of fun already!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Histera will be a free-to-play game, even after Early Access. At the start of Early Access, the basics of a monetization system is implemented, which will be expanded upon during the Early Access period. The monetization system will remain completely optional and will only include cosmetic items.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope to closely work together with the community to make Histera the best it possibly can be. We are especially interested in player feedback on topics such as character balancing, weapon balancing, game mode balancing & general content. The feedback of the community will impact the progression and future of Histera.

Players can join our server to talk with us about every facet of Histera and any issues they may have come across. We will also answer questions and respond to issues in Steam Discussions, though our main hub for the collaboration with the community will be on Discord.”

About This Game

BATTLE THROUGH TIME

Battle with weapons from the past, present and future as you compete to master the Glitch. The Glitch will change the battlefield around you shifting between Eras as the bullets fly! One moment you’ll be taking the high ground in a prehistoric valley, only for the ground to shift under your feet, transforming into a tightly packed WW2 warehouse or a gleaming high-tech city street… and more locations are coming.

EVERY WEAPON HAS A TIME AND PLACE

…and that includes you.

Choose your weapon loadout carefully as every Era has unique strengths and weaknesses when it comes to their weaponry, allowing for some Era-defying synergies. Compliment your anti-tank rifle with some flint throwing knives or your assault rifle with a… prehistoric poison shotgun?! Fight as part of a team and prove yourself in competitive team deathmatches and territory control.

THE GLITCH WELCOMES ALL

Histera is an arena shooter accessible for players of all skill levels. The game is free-to-play and won’t feature any pay-to-win systems, so everyone will be able to jump right in! However, those who are skilled enough may attempt to take the fight to the Glitch itself for powerful rewards.

Join our Discord if you want to share your thoughts or catch the latest news.

YOU’LL NEVER FIGHT THE SAME BATTLE TWICE…
