What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game started as a final project for a class, with a short deadline. However, I am proud of the idea and very invested in developing it into a full game and a full story, which will take time. I'll take player feedback and continue to expand on the mechanics and ideas to make a very interesting story. I intend to spend as much time as it takes to turn this simple idea into a polished, cinematic, entertaining story that will leave the player satisfied.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will be in early access until approximately the end of 2021, but may take longer depending on other responsibilities, projects, and assignments that come with college.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should contain a much longer story, a higher level of visual and audio polish, more characters, and more cutscenes. I also plan to include a new mechanic, where the player will return to the office and connect ideas in a sort of web in order to understand and solve the mystery, as well as a functionality to more easily identify or find clues, if the player is having trouble or just wants to experience the story.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game is a small teaser or demo of the main mechanic, with a hint at the story, mostly in order to develop the mechanics and art to the correct level of polish without giving away the story or the mystery. When the game is fully functional and polished, then I will focus on expanding the story and maintaining that level of polish throughout the game. At the moment, the player can explore the first investigation area. Here, they can interact with objects. The main character, and the only one present in this version of the game, has voice dialogue, which the player will hear in a cutscene and upon investigating some objects.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will remain free during its entire time in early access, and will increase to a modest amount after leaving early access. It should not be very expensive, as it is a short game without much replay value, and it will remain there, as I do not intend to add more content to this game after its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a relatively new developer, I would be happy to receive any constructive feedback that can help me improve my game's quality or accessibility. I welcome any reviews on the Steam page, or emails to mthorsongames@gmail.com as means for feedback. Time and other responsibilities allowing, I intend to post regular or semi-regular developer updates as I work on the game in order to keep the community involved and in the know about the development process without spoiling anything.”
