What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Immortal Demon Sect already has playable card battles and sect progression, but its combinations of disciples, artifacts and spells would benefit from a wider range of player experiences. Early Access allows us to gather feedback on team builds, campaign difficulty, progression and usability. We want players to help shape our development priorities as we work toward a more engaging, accessible and replayable game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 3–6 months from the Early Access launch. During this period, we plan to improve combat and usability, refine the tutorial and localization, and prioritize further work based on player feedback. This is our current estimate rather than a fixed full-release date, and it may change as development progresses. We plan to keep players informed of our progress and any changes to this estimate through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to build on the existing disciple, artifact and spell system by exploring more card combinations and campaign challenges. We also aim to improve the tutorial, card information, collection management, and the presentation of attacks, hits and spell activation. The standalone legion drill mode is another area we would like to refine. Our overall goals are broader build variety, clearer combat decisions and more satisfying sect progression. Specific additions and priorities may change based on testing and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build includes single-player, turn-based card battles, 27 disciple variants, 21 spells, and 30 campaign stages across three regions. Players can recruit disciples, organize their lineup, trade cards and equipment, and use the forging and inheritance systems, sect quests and save functionality. A standalone legion drill mode also offers formation setup and battlefield combat; it is separate from the campaign and does not grant campaign rewards. The interface, tutorial, combat presentation, balance and stability are still being refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the base price modestly alongside substantial content or feature additions, such as major new battle modes. This approach applies both during Early Access and after it ends. Routine bug fixes, stability improvements and UI refinements are not intended to trigger price increases, and moving out of Early Access alone is not planned as a reason to raise the price. We plan to announce any price increase in advance through Steam announcements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback primarily through Steam Community discussions, player reviews and update announcements. Players are welcome to share disciple, artifact and spell combinations, report issues with campaign difficulty, progression or the interface, and suggest improvements or new content. We plan to address common concerns in our update notes, explain changes and upcoming priorities, and use this feedback to help guide development.”

About This Game

Fate deals the cards. You decide how to win.

A sword cultivator. A fire-wielding beast sage. A ghost lord carrying the ledger of fate. Different origins. Different powers. One sect under your command.

Immortal Demon Sect is a single-player, turn-based card strategy game inspired by Chinese fantasy. Recruit disciples, collect artifacts and prepare spells. Every draw gives you another decision to make.

Disciple. Artifact. Spell. Make the combination count.

Give the Flowing Cloud Swordsman a pair of twin swords to unlock a signature strike. Put the Beguiling Ghost Mask on the Soulbinding Demon King to enable its charm ability. The right partner can matter as much as a bigger number.

Talents, equipment abilities, speed and spell effects shape each exchange. Read the opposing combination, then choose your response.

Play it now—or save your answer.

Use a spell for immediate advantage, or reserve it for a later round. Protection, sealing, meteors and revival each have their moment. Time your response while artifacts merge with disciples and sword energy, thunder and spirit fire erupt across the cards.

Three realms to challenge. A sect to make your own.

Face 30 campaign stages across beast lands, mountain sects and the underworld. Collect 27 disciple types and 21 spells, alongside artifacts and training materials. Recruit new allies, adjust your deck, sell spare cards to the market and develop your roster through forging, training and inheritance.

Take command in a different kind of battle.

An independent legion drill lets you arrange squads, choose targets and cast spells as formations clash on a shared battlefield. This mode is separate from the campaign and grants no campaign rewards.

Three realms enter the fray. What will you make of your next hand?
