Why Early Access?

“The Dark World: Edge of Eternity is an ambitious project built around a growing open world, survival systems, character progression, multiplayer gameplay, and an expanding dark fantasy universe. We are choosing Early Access because we want players to be part of that journey while the game continues to evolve.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to refine the core experience with real community feedback, improve balance and performance, expand existing systems, and introduce new content in a way that is shaped by the people actively playing the game.

Our vision for The Dark World reaches far beyond its initial release. New features, deeper progression, expanded world content, additional gameplay paths, and more of Panonia’s lore are planned as development continues. By entering Early Access, players will not only experience the foundation of the game early, but also help influence its direction as it grows.

We see Early Access as the best way to make the game stronger, deeper, and closer to the world we want it to become.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We currently plan for The Dark World: Edge of Eternity to remain in Early Access for around 12 to 24 months, depending on development progress and community feedback.

During that time, we intend to expand the game with new content, improve existing systems, refine balance and performance, and continue building the world, features, and long-term gameplay experience toward full release.

Our priority is to make sure the game grows in the right direction and reaches a level of quality that matches our vision.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of The Dark World: Edge of Eternity is planned to offer the core gameplay foundation, including survival, exploration, crafting, building, combat, and the first layers of the world’s dark lore.

The full version is planned to expand on that foundation with more content, deeper systems, and a more complete experience overall. We intend to add new areas, more enemies, additional gameplay features, expanded progression, more worldbuilding, and further development of the game’s factions, races, and long-term content.

In addition to content expansion, the full version is also planned to include continued improvements to balance, performance, polish, and overall game stability based on development progress and community feedback during Early Access.

Our goal is for the full release to feel not only bigger, but deeper, more polished, and more complete in every major part of the experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of The Dark World: Edge of Eternity is intended to provide a playable foundation of the core experience. Players can explore the world of Panonia, gather resources, build shelters, craft equipment, survive hostile conditions, and engage in combat while uncovering the first layers of the game’s atmosphere, world, and lore.

The current focus of Early Access is on the core gameplay loop and core systems. While the game is already playable, it is still in active development and will continue to grow through additional content, new features, expanded systems, balance updates, performance improvements, and overall polish.

Our goal is for Early Access to offer a solid and enjoyable survival experience from the start, while continuing to evolve into a deeper, larger, and more refined version over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We intend to adjust the price of The Dark World: Edge of Eternity during and after Early Access as the game grows in content, features, polish, and overall scope.

Our plan is to offer Early Access players the opportunity to join the game at a lower price while development is still ongoing. As major updates are released and the game moves closer to full release, the price will increase to reflect the expanded experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to play an active role in shaping The Dark World: Edge of Eternity throughout Early Access.

Player feedback will help us improve balance, performance, quality of life, and core gameplay systems, while also helping us understand which areas of the game need the most attention as development continues. Community input will be important in refining features, prioritizing improvements, and helping us shape the game into a stronger and more immersive experience over time.

Our goal is for Early Access to be more than just a testing phase. We want it to be a stage of development where player feedback directly helps guide the growth of the game.”
