What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to create a dialogue with players at a stage where their feedback can directly shape the game’s evolution. Stone Simulator is an experimental project with unique mechanics, and we want to ensure its absurd charm and meditative gameplay resonate with the audience. Additionally, Early Access enables us to:
  • Test ideas in real-world conditions.
  • Gather feedback to fine-tune balance and humor.
  • Build a community that becomes part of the "stone saga."

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access until all planned features are implemented and we’re confident the game has reached its intended depth and polish. The timeline depends on the pace of development and community feedback. We expect the Early Access phase to last about 2 months, after which the game will enter the final release phase”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current version includes core mechanics (seasonal cycles, weather effects, achievements), but we aim to expand it with:
  • New Layers of Absurdity: More random events (e.g., UFO encounters, historical easter eggs).
  • Visual Polish: Enhanced shaders for seasons, environmental animations.
  • Deeper Content: Additional modes (e.g., "Chaos Stone" mini-challenges).
  • Multiplatform Potential: Optimization for other devices (if demand arises).

While avoiding concrete promises, our goal is to make the final version more cohesive, hilarious, and unpredictable.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is already fully playable and includes:
  • All 4 seasons with unique weather (blizzards, rain, leaf piles).
  • An achievement system (10+ meme-worthy trophies).
  • Dynamic soundscapes and basic visuals.
  • Day/night cycles and long-term progression (centuries).

However, elements like event variety and visual details still require refinement.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have no plans to raise the price once we leave early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want players to feel like co-authors of the absurdity:
  • Open Discussions: Regular polls in Steam forums and social media (e.g., "What event should we add next?").
  • Beta Tests for New Features: Early access to experimental updates for active players.
  • Meme Contests: The best ideas for achievements or events may be added (with creator credits).
  • Transparency: Monthly progress reports, including challenges and milestones.
