Why Early Access?

“ENCHAIN is a solo developer passion project and has spent over four years in quiet development. As with the demo, direct player feedback has been extremely valuable in guiding my choices for the game. Early Access will allow the game to continue growing with this community-oriented iteration.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 1 year. Any necessary time will be taken to make the full game into something I am happy to release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game is planned to feature an interconnected world with a number of new challenges, secrets, and foes.
Early Access will contain most or nearly all of the features planned for the full version. The full version mainly will contain rebalances, fixes, and new additions based on community feedback during Early Access.
I am planning to feature a fair amount of distinct regions in the full game. Several more enemies, weapons, and bosses will be added as these new regions are introduced.
As more regions are added, existing areas will be adjusted or even moved, as the full game will continue to iterate on the established world.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access release is planned to include the 4 large interconnected regions, including the 2 partial regions from the demo.
Planning a total of 10 weapons, 3 bosses, 3 lanterns as well as other features TBA.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game will not be priced differently for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will read and consider all feedback given through Steam, Discord, and Twitter, and apply it to the development process over time bundled into as many major updates as I can manage. Whether it is just a requested quality of life feature, or a suggestion to improve the larger aspects of the game, your feedback could factor into the final game.”

About This Game

You are the Last Deprived, the final corpse to ever rise from the stone depths, dooming all creation to a ceaseless death. This underworld does not welcome you. Unlock the secrets of the crypt, take back life from your fleshless brethren, and fight your own way out of humanity's tomb.

ENCHAIN links hack & slash juggling and frenetic platforming with fast-paced retro FPS gunplay. Inspired by platform fighters and Quake, smash the undead into pieces with your lantern hook and arsenal of guns. And, with progression and verticality influenced by Dark Souls, tackle a single interconnected world chunk by chunk, retreading old paths and secrets.

Get lost in the chasm. No one will be holding your cold, hollow hands along the way.
