Why Early Access?

“As a Solo developer I need player feedback to improve the game's core mechanics, and learn how each player processes the missions differently. This is especially important because of the modular mission structure of ESCAPE CONDITION which allows dozens of possible ways to play the game.

The choices players make will also determine if they embark on a campaign with a high or low amount of AI, showing how each path makes for a different future.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate leaving Early Access by late spring 2026

Regular updates resumed on ESCAPE CONDITION January 2026 after extensive reworks to address tester feedback. New testers are being brought in to give feedback on the game's latest iteration which has made world impacts more severe, simplified the RPG mechanics, and vastly improved graphics and sound design.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I hope to add unique new game+ features and Steam Achievements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

• 3 weapon slots (primary, secondary, melee)
  
• Quantum abilities (Focus, Finisher, Dash, Throw Objects)
  
• Modular mission design - World changes based on your choices in missions 1-3
  
• FInished UI with - Extensive options added upon player request (FOV Slider, invert mouse, etc.)

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The plan is to have a special low price during Early Access ($13), then raise to a full release price. If the game is expanded in the future the price would likely increase again, but anyone purchasing the game in Early Access should not expect additional costs.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am doing frequent updates based on player feedback. Not all requests are integrated but all are considered.
