About This Game

In Jury Trial, you create your own attorney and step into a legal career shaped by difficult cases, flawed people, and a system where fairness cannot always be taken for granted. You are placed inside the story, but the choices are yours.

Read reports, study witness statements, search for contradictions, question witnesses, and choose the right experts to prepare your theory of the case. A case does not begin when you stand in front of the jury. It begins with preparation, strategy, and the decisions you make before the trial ever starts.

You decide who you can trust, who testifies in court, what to challenge, and what you are willing to risk to turn the case in your favor.

Every decision you make, every lead you follow, and every path you choose may shape the case you bring to court.

Jury Trial is set in a fictional country shaped by regional tension, class division, politics, religion, prejudice, and social inequality. Not every case is unjust. Not every juror is unfair. But every person selected for the jury brings their own history, beliefs, fears, loyalties, and blind spots into the courtroom.

Potential jurors can differ by:

  • Ten unique regions

  • Four ethnic groups

  • Six religions

  • Six political currents

  • Four levels of wealth and education

  • Six personal traits drawn from a pool of more than seventy possible traits

The law may be written in statutes, but verdicts are delivered by twelve ordinary people.

  • Create your own attorney and step into a story-rich legal drama

  • Play the campaign or download single case files from the Steam Workshop

  • Handle criminal and civil cases from different sides of the courtroom

  • Search for evidence in reports, statements, transcripts, and other case materials

  • Question witnesses, jurors, and experts to uncover facts, traits, opinions, and contradictions

  • Choose experts, profilers, and co-counsels to support your strategy

  • Analyze and select the jury that gives your side the best chance to achieve the verdict you want

  • Prepare and try the case from the pre-trial phase through opening statements, witness examinations and closing arguments

  • Face moral choices, unique custom events, and consequences created for each case

  • Build and upload your own cases with the in-game Case Editor

Jury Trial includes the same tried-and-tested Case Editor we use to build our own cases.

Create your own laws, court rules, characters, evidence, witnesses, jurors, experts, dialogue, tactics, events, actions, and outcomes. Build a focused courtroom drama, a sprawling investigation, a civil dispute, a political trial, or a case inspired by real or fictional legal conflict.

The editor is designed to give Case Creators control over the shape of their stories. You decide what evidence exists, who can be trusted, what events occur, what choices the player faces, and how those choices change the case.

The complexity is up to you. Create a straightforward legal battle, a tightly focused trial, or a heavily branching case filled with twists, pressure points, and difficult decisions.

It is your story, and the Case Editor lets you tell it the way you choose.

Jury Trial is built by a two-person indie team, but it is not being shaped by us alone.

Players who tested the alpha case builds have already helped improve the game in meaningful ways. Their feedback has shaped usability, pacing, clarity, and many of the features and mechanics present in the game today. We want that process to continue. Jury Trial should grow with the people who play it, challenge it, and create their own cases with it.
