Why Early Access?

“Initially, this project was not a game and only by March 2020 it became such. Up to this point, the project was a software demonstration of graphics and nothing more.

At the moment, everything has grown into a game with its own plot and mechanics, but due to the huge scale of the project itself, it has become a small long-term construction. However, don't think
that it will take a long time, since the project has its own team that works almost every day on the game.

Consequently, our team believes that once the game goes into Early Access, we can hear player feedback and slowly but surely bring the game to the finals.

An important point should also be noted.
My team and I are making a game that we ourselves would like to play.
Therefore, the main forces of our team will be thrown into a thorough study of the game as a whole.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our team cannot promise anything, but we know for sure that we will not leave this project just like that. We usually spend several hours developing the game itself.

If this game comes out in Early Access on Steam in September or October 2020,
it will take a year to finalize the game, at best half a year of hard work.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

  • Gameplay
The gameplay of the game will gradually acquire new functions, there are a lot of ideas about the mechanics of the game itself. This includes a complete revision and elaboration of the game world as a whole, its interface, its atmosphere. Early access to the game will contain the most basic mechanics, which will allow you to fully play.

More and more accurate elaboration of the world can be distinguished from the main tasks. The game itself should be based on historical facts, be more and more fun for the player. This takes an incredible amount of time and effort.

In general, this item will be discussed with users and if any ideas and suggestions arise, they can be easily added to the game itself already in the process of further development. The power of the game engine makes it very convenient to make any changes.

  • Graphics
If we talk about the graphics of the game, then here it can be improved and optimized in many ways. In general, the graphics of the game will not change much, but rather will be supplemented in details and become more and more in demand. As already mentioned in the "Gameplay" paragraph, the emphasis is on a strong study,
therefore, the Graphics in the game will need to be heavily modernized and redrawn over time.

  • Bugs and Errors
Early Access Kings0 will have bugs at first. Due to the busy development schedule, some lines are left in the engine code itself, which causes errors, but the user will not even be able to feel them in the game. As we approach the final version of the game, these errors will gradually be eliminated.

  • Custom Сontent
At the moment, the game itself already has several development tools. Due to the simple use of the engine, it can be used for any question of our heart. But now this is all in its raw form and I would like to add more convenient tools that will help users create additional content for the game, this will link the game to Steam services as well.

From the main, it is planned: a map editor, an editor of objects and characters, an interface editor, and what is already being implemented is a translation into any language in the world.

  • Steam
Very little can be said about Steam's features. Kings0 will integrate more with Steam over time and therefore make more use of its features. Of those currently in demand, these are: a game SDK's, save to Steam Cloud function, support for statistics and achievements, and Steam game cards.

Most likely, if the "User Content" item will work,
then you will have to create a special page in the Steam Workshop and then you will have to develop it, add additional SDK's.

  • Multiplayer
This item is a very old idea and now it remains in the concept state. Closer to the release of the full-fledged, final version of the game, it is planned to add different modes for multiplayer play.
There are no guarantees on this issue, but it is not so difficult to implement, it will be more difficult to maintain the whole matter and bear responsibility for it.

The game, if possible, will be significantly expanded in all its directions. All the efforts of our team will be spent on this. Just as it was written above, we will keep in touch with the players and work side by side whenever possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Kings0 has a stable team, its main developers. The game is also supported by ordinary people, fans, which greatly increases the development of the final versions of the game.

At the start of Early Access, the main design doc of the game is ready. This means that the original game idea has already been implemented based on this design document in the game itself. This includes a large elaboration of the world around the player, which will already be present. That is, the player will receive a normal working game, but rather not very detailed in details, which will be corrected as early access progresses.

I would also like to highlight the functions of Steam.
The very integration into the interface is and most of the functions necessary for the game are already used.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The questions about the price of the game are very funny in nature. The Kings0 game itself was not initially planned at all, let alone sold anywhere. Our development team, and a few people who help in the development of this project, get a good life experience and work with pure enthusiasm.

Consequently, the price of the game will be insignificant, and its purchase will be available to anyone in the world, that is, to cost as something simple in our world, like a simple dinner in some restaurant. We do not plan to change the price for this game, it will always be constant, fixed.

As mentioned above, our team makes a game that we ourselves would like to play, the quality and feedback from other people on this matter is important to us.
Therefore, Kings0 will not be able to change in price from time to time. Unless the global market crashes. ;)”

“About the gaming community. Our team is ready to communicate directly with their players. If there are suggestions or new ideas, I am ready to listen to them through any source of information. About This Game

Kings0 is a turn-based strategy game in the medieval genre, a global sandbox in many aspects of the game.
Here the player will start the game in a world called Midgard, which is located at the north pole of planet Earth, where the clan wars of the ancient Aryans are in full swing.

Here a new story begins, completely different from that of other players.
The player has the right to do whatever comes to his mind with the game world.
Economy and pumping, diplomacy, battles with lords and bandits, achievements and easter eggs, support for mods and, most importantly, a non-linear, more or less historical plot and the atmosphere of another, mythological Middle Ages.
