Why Early Access?

“The city is still growing. Bicycle traversal, hearing, combat, quests, and the existing districts are already playable and being refined through real player feedback.

We are also developing online co-op, alongside new areas, bosses, and improvements to the core game. Early Access lets us test these systems properly with players rather than building towards a locked 1.0 promise in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Hell Heroes to remain in Early Access into 2027. This gives us time to complete the remaining areas, develop and test online co-op, and strengthen the bicycle, hearing, and combat systems.

Development schedules can change, so we will not announce a fixed 1.0 date until we are confident it is achievable.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include more of the city, with additional districts, bosses, quests, enemies, and loot.

Online co-op is currently in development and will be added during Early Access. The existing bicycle, hearing, melee, and quest systems will also continue to be expanded and refined. Hell Heroes will remain fully playable as a single-player game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is playable in single-player and includes bicycle traversal and tricks, horn and hearing-based stealth, stamina-based melee combat, quests, loot drops, and several plague districts with bosses—including the church, guardhouse, swamp, and sewers.

Online co-op is currently in development and is not yet part of the public Early Access build.

Hell Heroes is fully playable but still an Early Access game. Expect rough edges, balance changes, unfinished areas, and occasional physics-related departures from the intended map.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Early Access will remain cheaper as a thank-you to players supporting the game while it is still growing. The price may increase as major new content and features are added, and again when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through Steam discussions, the Hell Heroes Instagram, and YouTube. Tell us what broke, what was funny, how co-op behaved, and what the bicycle should do next.

Player feedback will help us refine combat, balance, co-op, and new areas as development continues. We read it.”
