What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As Sausage Fest is an unusual conception, what would benefit it most is feedback from the playerbase. By releasing in Early Access, the team can take the game in a direction that the players would be satisfied with. Being a solely multiplayer game there is also the challenge of maintaining all network services that the game relies on, therefore establishing a community and collaborating with that community will allow the team to understand the needs of the game in real time and act accordingly. Before fully releasing, Sausage Fest needs the feedback of the players; along with the future updates and additions that we wish to include.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is scheduled to be in early access until late 2021, this gives us a good window to get involved with the community and hear what they have to say. We will make the first official release public when we feel that the game is up to our standards. Additionally, the game will undergo continuous development and receive updates and improvements even after release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will differ in terms of content and possibly even design. Currently the aim is to add more elements into the game, such as more game mechanics, maps, customization features and game modes. With the full version we wish to deliver a more feature-packed game, along with the requests and suggestions made by the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable and stable. There are currently a select number of game modes, maps and other features which will continue to grow throughout the development process.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Upon full release, there will be a very slight increase from the initial price point. The price will only change when the full version is released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is the most important part of the development process. In order to decide what features and mechanics are implemented or improved upon during the development process, we will rely on feedback from the community. We aim to read as many critical reviews, posts and suggestions for the game as possible, in order to develop and improve the game in a balanced manner and expand upon it accordingly. The development of this game will be very open to the community with scheduled development logs and proper communication with the playerbase. This communication of ideas and feedback will mostly take place on our Discord server and Steam Community Hub. Our Discord server and other social media platforms can be found on our website. Taking all of this into account, the road map will change based on the input of the players, but we will be sure to give priority to the developments that will actually improve the game.”

About This Game

Sausage Fest is a 2-10 player online top-down shooter. Blast and pound your opponents to become more than just a footlong and assert your dominance over the rest.

Things You CAN Do

  • Engage in Sausage combat with other players
  • Be awarded for engaging yourself in Sausage combat
  • Customize your character with said awards
  • Spray mystery fluids on other people
  • Make really good content
  • Have a good time with the boys
  • Have a literal Sausage Fest

Things You CAN'T Do

  • Gain the power of your character in real life
  • Get bigger in real life
  • Reenact what happens in the game (without an active imagination at least)
  • Not have a good time with the boys
  • Not have a literal Sausage Fest

The Power of Girth

You grow powerful and do more damage the bigger you get, but at the cost of becoming a larger target.

Maps & Game Modes

Sausage Fest has different maps you can choose from, each with their own unique features that can influence how the matches play out. Choose how you want to play: Split into two teams and work together, or go at it in free for all to see who's truly at the top.

Power-ups

Take advantage of power-ups that spawn from the monuments in every map. Whether it’s to regain your health and last longer, do more damage or to give yourself protection from attacks, when used right, each one can leave its mark on the face of battle.

Customization

Your kills convert into jars of mystery fluid that can be used in the store to buy different skins, rocket trails and even kill emotes for your character.

Thrust Yourself to Victory

Just wanted an excuse to write this.
