Why Early Access?

“Our goal with Early Access is to primarily use community input to drive our development forward, polish all of our systems through community feedback, balance gunplay and movement, as well as providing enough content leading us into our full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're expecting to stay in Early Access between six to twelve months using community feedback for any minor and major changes, bringing in new features, and collecting crash reports to aid in stability. We believe with the help of the community we can build the best version that MORTARMEN can be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add character classes, a full new cooperative gamemode, customizable weapon attachments, and much more. Our roadmap is always updated so be sure to take a look. We always tend to your input on Discord and appreciate your feedback to create the best experience, with your help we look to continue to shape MORTARMEN into your favorite military movement shooter. Lastly we plan to release with modding capability primarily for community created levels and hopefully more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players can slide, roll, bunny hop, and chain it all together for dangerously high speeds. Weaponry can be equipped and rearmed through Supply Depots, of which are many rifles, SMGs, pistols, mortar, and grenades. Sectors can be captured and linked to their HQ in order to gain initiative. HALO pads can forward drop your soldier to linked sectors. Mortars can clear out sectors of enemy troops while also utilizing built-in mortar shell cameras.

Train yourselves in the art of movement and weaponry on our Hub island, play in our Arena map for close quarter combat, or play on our 2km island known as Arakousa suitable for 32 players or more.

Territory Control is our main gamemode that pits the UCF (red) and NAC (blue) in a tug of war of control where sectors can be captured at any time, capture rate is determined by supply amount per depot, sticking together is heavily rewarded by boosting capture speeds.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, prices can be expected to stay the same with periodic sales, on release there will be a slight increase as new content and overall polish is finalized.”

MORTARMEN is a movement based tactical PvP first and third person shooter based in 2030, pitting the New American Coalition versus United Communist Front in a battle for control, as part of an ongoing global space race war.

All soldiers are able to equip themselves with a portable mortar from their tablet, although skill levels vary, they're easy to use and hard to master. To better aid in target acquisition, cameras are attached to mortar shells until destroyed by impact. Their major role plays into denying sector control and keeping enemies at bay once they're honed in, communication is key to avoid any unforeseen consequences.


Factions battle it out on varied islands, all fighting for control of villages, outposts, and other points of interest in order to gain initiative to bleed the other team dry of reinforcements. Although any sector can be captured at any time, they must be linked to their factions' main base to gain any sector points; this gives opportunities for soldiers to break links of vital sectors to prevent the enemy team from maintaining initiative in the tug of war.



New American Coalition is a combination task force between United States of America and Canada, their core objective is to capture territories across the world where presence of plutonium may have been sighted. Any trace of it will have the NAC calling, in order to further boost their space travel and technological advancements.

United Communist Front is a merged Russian and Chinese alliance, begrudgingly working together to bolster their independent space agencies, they've already destroyed most of the competing satellites in low orbit, with their sights on space stations and beyond, they won't stop until they get a foothold above their adversaries and acquire further plutonium in this newly charged space race.
