About This Game

Race on real water

Every boat in Power Boat Racing floats, planes, jumps and slams on water simulated from the hull up: the water's pressure on each part of the hull gives the lift, the drag and the hard landings. Trim the drives to get the bow up, fly off a wave and feel it when you land. Choppy water, rough offshore seas and full storms with lightning and driving rain change how every boat behaves.

12 boats, 8 courses

Offshore V-hulls, stepped hulls, tunnel and canopy catamarans, a RIB and two wild ski racers, from 58 to 160 mph.
Lake Havasu, Lake of the Ozarks, Basingen in Sweden, the open sea, and city courses through harbours, under bridges and past the skyline.
Circuit, A to B and Shootout races against up to 9 opponents, on Easy, Normal or Hard.
Win races and set personal bests to earn points: unlock faster boats, engine stages and artwork.

Build your own boat

The boat builder lets you design a hull from scratch: V-hull or catamaran, length, beam, deadrise, strakes and tunnel, an open cockpit or a canopy, and one to four engines, from small-block V8s to a gas turbine. Take it on a sea trial for its top speed and 0-60, then race it. Share it with a code or on ONLINE BOATS, and build the best boats other players have made.

Make it yours

Paint shop: hull, deck, stripe and bottom colours, metallic or satin, race numbers, team colours, your own text and artwork.
Garage: share out the engine's power, then set prop pitch and diameter, gear ratio, drive height, rev limit, ballast and fuel.
Driver: build your own driver, face, hair and clothes, and pick a race suit and helmet for the helm.

Free roam and online

Cruise Lake Havasu on your own, walk the docks of the boat show, lay out your own courses anywhere on the lake, or join the official online lake where players on PC and phone drive together. Up to 16 players, text and voice chat, races called on the water, and online high scores for best laps, races and top speed.

VR and sim rigs

Play the whole game in VR from the driver's seat, with comfort options and a 90 fps profile.
Racing wheels, pedals, throttle and trim levers, button boxes and force feedback.
One, two or three screens, a dash screen, head tracking, and telemetry for motion rigs and bass shakers.
Full gamepad support, with every control rebindable.
