What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We feel like involving the players in the development of a game is an important part of indie game development. The game is in a state, where it is enjoyable to play and we would like to have players providing us with valuable feedback about what to improve on, what to add and how the game feels currently. We have lots of plans ourselves but we are curious what the community needs the most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We want to make ARCHiTECTUS a complete experience with most, if not all the gameplay elements we planned for it. It also depends on how the players feel about the game and its direction in development. Considering all this and our small team of three, it will most likely take a few years. We believe we can release it from Early Access by 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our vision of ARCHiTECTUS has changed a lot since we started development of late 2019. We wish to turn the game from a solely house designer into a city planner with player created houses, facilities and so on. This approach would also include Steam Workshop implementation so players could use constructions created by other fellow architects. We'll see what the future holds.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current state of ARCHiTECTUS, players can select items from the in-game component library to place, paint and later interact with in first-person. The created houses can be saved and loaded back anytime for future changes. For a more detailed list of features please check out the "About This" section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are planning to start with a fairly low price to get as much people into the joy of building as possible. We are planning to increase the price occasionally, at most once a year during Early Access as we fill the game with content. After releasing ARCHiTECTUS from Early Access the price is not expected to rise.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would like to have players to give us feedback about the state of the game, bugs and content they want to see. For that we will provide a dedicated Discord server, where all the developers will see the submitted bugs and ideas.”
