About This Game

Remaster

Homeplanet is a remaster of a game originally released in Russia in 2003. It is a simulator featuring Newtonian physics and space combat involving fighters and other small craft. Battles take place in planetary orbits and deep space, ranging from small tactical engagements to large-scale fleet battles involving capital ships.

The game has been adapted for modern monitors, with the game engine reworked and the in-game textures improved. Most locations have been redrawn from scratch. Moreover, the developers managed to find sound files that were never used in the original game. This made it possible to rework some missions, make events easier to understand, and add more emotion and color to the future of space.

Story Campaign

The story takes place in space, in the distant future. In Homeplanet, you play as an ordinary pilot from the Troiden clan, one of the many militarized clans of the enclave planet Clouto, in the Capella star system.

A major war erupts on the planet's surface. The small Troiden clan, under attack, is forced to abandon everything and flee the planet's surface. Fighting its way through heavy battles, the clan leaves its homeworld and the Capella system, never to return.

We will find ourselves at the very center of these events. We will cover the clan's evacuation from the planet, fight rearguard actions, escort landing forces, set up ambushes, conduct reconnaissance, and even carry out covert operations under a false flag.

Our pilot will be among the last to leave his home planet.

Newtonian Physics Model

The ships in Homeplanet fly according to the laws of physics. They use engines for acceleration, maneuvering, and braking. The parameters and placement of the engines are realistic and physically accurate, and are visually reflected in the game.

When ships and stations are destroyed, they break apart into debris that can damage other ships. Being killed or suffering serious damage from debris is a common occurrence in Homeplanet combat.
