Leaving Early Access: 2027

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“My main goal is to create a well simulated, living open world and NPCs that react to player actions, with hackable computers and objects, as well as 3d open world city, that will bring additional layers of depth of presented world.
The Early Access current version does not contain free-roam 3D world, and the simulation is limited. It's going to be changed in next versions.
While the simulated virtual world is implemented in some parts, it lacks the expected depth, it lacks dynamics and consequences for player and surrounding NPCs.
As I gradually ship the improvements, your feedback will play important role to tailor the game to be both fun and challenging.

The goal is that NPCs will address player actions based on their personality and statistics, which may change over time based on the events they face.
That means, that different NPCs might react differently against the same player action.
Current Early Access has foundations to that system, but more content is required to make it feel natural and immersive.

Lastly, while improving the gameplay and implementing new tools, it is better to implement a story at the end of that process.
That means, the Early Access version is a generated, sandbox mode of the game, where Story mode is a target for the Full Release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Current estimation is that it will exit Early Access in 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“My current plan is that full version will additionally consist of 3d open city, with additional tools in gameplay outside of "virtual environment".
I have plans for more tools, programs, and missions, as well as a full story mode with player choices that affect the outcome.
I plan to add Steam Achievements, multi-language support, and Steam Deck compatibility while working towards full release.
I'm also considering mod support for future updates.
As of now, I have no plans for multiplayer support.

Remember, that the final full version may differ from current plans and priorities are subject to change based on your feedback during Early Access phase.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay, interface, and a limited pool of mission templates are in place.
However, the range of tools and their complexity are currently limited.
Key features like terminal commands, network connections, and hardware resource management (RAM, CPU) are implemented.
The stock market is implemented.
But some features like a full-featured banking system or virtual cryptocurrency are still in progress.
The dynamic economy is not completed yet.

Some updates during Early Access may require new game start due to save incompatibility.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, I plan to gradually raise the price as new content and features are implemented.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There is a Discord channel to give feedback, ideas and raise issues, and the Steam discussions panel can be used for it as well.
I read all input from the players. I have my vision for the game, but I consider your ideas and how it can fit into the game.
As for the lone developer, player input is invaluable to the game's development, and I'm excited to see how I can incorporate your suggestions to shape the game's unique experience.
Based on the feedback, I will further improve the mechanics of the game to balance the complexity and fun.”

About This Game

Real-time hacking simulator.

Use real-world hacking tools and methodology to break into target systems. Crack passwords, exploit vulnerabilities, navigate remote file systems, and move laterally through defended networks - all from your terminal.

Use tools and techniques like ssh-crack, SQL injecton, stack overflow, mimidogz, DNS redirector, metaexploits, memory reader, and others to gain unauthorized access to other devices.

HTHI Hacking Workstation

Work with a fully simulated operating system. Manage multiple terminal tabs and sessions. Tile your windows or work in virtual desktops. Browse websites for intel, read emails, monitor social media, check stock markets, and visualize target networks - all within a customizable desktop with adjustable transparency, UI scaling and wallpapers.

Never-the-same Experience

Enjoy the dynamically generated world, NPCs, and missions. The generated networks are unique, so keep yourself challenged.

Different websites, different exploits - all of this means your tactics may differ from session to session.

The networks contain separate subnets to challenge you, requiring lateral movement mastery.

Shape the World

Your actions have consequences. Manipulate the stock market. Hack into bank accounts. Dig through social media for intel. Build a white-hat reputation by helping NPCs - or exploit them for profit. The choice is yours.

Interactive Tutorial

Hacking is hard. Even in its simplified form, as in this game, the steps required to successfully break through can be overwhelming.

The initial in-game tour, the first tutorial mission, the app guide, the in-game wiki page - all of those are prepared to help you advance through the complexity.

Moreover, you can always count on Hackopilot - a tool designed specifically for HTHI Hackers to aid when it is needed.

Resources Management

Carefully manage the available resources, like money, CPU, or RAM.

Upgrade hardware to allow the execution of more parallel operations.

Purchase better wifi to speed up connections and over-the-network operations.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

You're a hacker in the game, and if you break in specific systems, you can encounter:
- naked scenes or pictures

Moreover, during some in-game events, depending on your choices, you may witness following:
- bad language
