Why Early Access?

“We believe the best way to make Hometopia a great experience for players is to get (and incorporate!) constant feedback as we develop the game. Launching in Early Access on Steam allows us to do just that, and we plan to work closely with the community to build features that players will love. Hometopia is already packed with a lot of seriously satisfying content, and we have a lot more that we’re excited to share over time, too.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don’t have a firm timeline in mind for staying in Early Access. It is safe to expect at least 6 months to 1 year as we continue to build out our roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning for the full version of Hometopia to include many features related to co-op play, such as our communities system, as well as more neighborhoods, tons of new items, continued improvement to UI look and feel, and more. The feature set may change as more people play the game and offer feedback and new feature suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Early Access includes our Dynamic Job System where you can progress in your career as a home designer and builder, as well as our core building system for constructing and designing player-built homes and neighborhoods with up to four players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will release DLC packs that provide a range of different unique and premium assets to enhance the player experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There are plenty of ways to get involved and offer feedback on Hometopia. We encourage it! If you’d like to playtest new features, we have a vibrant Ambassador community which you can learn more about in our Discord.”
