Why Early Access?

“Dolly Wars requires various feedback from users, not just on the game’s characters and maps, but on every other aspect that makes up the game such as its rules, the unique movements of each character, and so on.
We believe Early Access is an important step in obtaining such feedback so that we can come up with more Dollies and make Dolly Wars all the more enjoyable.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’ll need time to explore various ways in which the game can be made more enjoyable. We anticipate the Early Access period lasting roughly around one to two years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There will be an expansion to the volume of content available in the game by having more kinds of Dollies, more maps, additional campaigns, etc. Some content may be updated during the Early Access period as well.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the game consists of three different modes: campaign, sandbox, and multiplayer. In each of these modes players make use of the game’s adorable characters which run on ragdoll physics. “Campaign,” although a bit challenging, is a mode in which players will learn and understand the overall game. “Sandbox” is a basic battle simulator mode in which players create their own battles as they please. Lastly, “multiplayer” is a mode in which players battle one on one with real players either by inviting their friends from Steam or joining matches hosted by random players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Although some content will be made available as DLCs, we intend for the official base version of the game to remain free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We think that acquiring user feedback is essential for designing more types of Dollies that will appeal to our players. As such, we will be collecting said feedback not only from the Steam community, but also from our Discord and various other social media communities as well. This feedback will be reviewed and taken into serious consideration.”
