Welcome to the Glorious Companions - New Era Demo, where you'll get an early look at our upcoming 1.0 relaunch of Glorious Companions. This demo includes the Valrenay prologue and offers fully fleshed-out Online and Local Multiplayer modes with custom, wargaming-inspired battles.

Glorious Companions is a turn-based tactical RPG set in the rich, open world of Terscara. Lead a group of battle-proven companions through an epic quest to collect all the vault crystals and prevent an ancient power from tearing the land apart. Command the disciplined and versatile Steam-wielding Valrenay or unleash the fury of the Scarres, a vengeful race of fierce red lizardfolk. Each faction’s story begins with its own unique arc, but as tensions rise and danger grows, both must confront a common, greater threat that will ultimately bind their fates together.

The land of Terscara has enjoyed a peaceful coexistence for nearly three centuries. This era of calm began with the end of a brutal conflict in which the humans of the Kingdom of Valrenay defeated the lizardfolk of the Scarres Arcanate. The Scarres have seemingly accepted their status as second-rate inhabitants of the island... or at least, that’s what they want the humans to believe. In truth, they cling to a prophecy foretelling the rise of a powerful Blood Chieftain who will one day lead them to victory over the humans.

However, a new threat has recently emerged on the horizon. The giant, ever-present stone statues known as the Naalans have begun to act strangely. Some say it’s the song of the so-called Crystals of Creation—whispers of ancient power that once shaped the fate of Terscara—that is awakening them. Reports of the statues rumbling and even turning their heads have reached the capital of Valrenay with increasing frequency, prompting the king to take action. He has dispatched riders to every corner of the realm, summoning brave heroes to embark on a quest to uncover the truth and put an end to this growing menace.

Recruit and train a team of skilled mercenaries, each with unique abilities that can turn the tide of battle. Whether you choose the disciplined Valrenay or the fierce Scarres, your squad will consist of specialized units that allow for a wide range of unique tactical possibilities. Find synergized combos and see how far you can push the game mechanics to bring out the very best of your troops.

Buy brand new weapons and armor from city-dwelling merchants or hunt specific enemies to loot equipment from their fallen bodies. No two warriors are ever the same, especially as you start exploring all the different skill branches and level up choices to uncover your own playstyle. Each companion also brings unique strengths beyond combat, whether it’s setting up efficient camps or navigating through Points of Interest across Terscara.

As your companions grow stronger, so too will the enemies that stand in your way. What begins as minor skirmishes with bandits or wild creatures will soon lead you deep into the ancient vaults where the legendary Crystals of Creation are fiercely guarded.
