What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To be the best you have to work with the best. Calling all radically cool dudes and dudettes to put on their hot pink floaties and take a dip to help make the best battle/co-op party game ever (well, really really fun). Our focus is creating a couch party you will love to hate. Let’s be honest this game already kicks arse, but after you play, you will understand there is so much more potential for cool things to be added! You get the Super Goodwin guarantee this game will be more badass, complete, and released or you will receive a free hug (a good one).”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Current plan: 3-6 Months depending on community involvement and new amazingly creative ideas.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We intend to exit Early Access with 12+ playable characters, 6+ game modes, mid-match randomize mutator, more easter eggs, solid online multiplayer, and a buttload more content and laughs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fast-paced 1-4-players including four game modes, ten characters with unique abilities (who’s your best?), ton of power-ups, wacky pool rule mutators to mix up matches, and battle/co-op action.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we drop new game changing content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“By using the Steam community and in-game communication tools Tubetastic will be sure to swim in Early Access. We want to see what uniquely crazy ideas the community can come up with so we can make this game stand out even more with it’s creative warmth.”

Meet the Unique, Funny, and Weird Cast

Here are a few of the wild characters from Tubetastic, each with a unique starting weapon and stats. Different tubers are better suited for particular game modes, so figure out who’s the best for your aquatic style! (Be on the lookout for hidden Easter eggs)

Dino Hipster: A Rap-tor spitting the beats and not only laying down the tracks but also the smackdowns.

Hot Babe: A cool babe with brains too. Don’t let her looks fool you; she’s got a degree from a state school.

Blink Fishman: He may look whimsical and sweet but you should never trust anyone that can sit criss-cross-applesauce on an innertube

Alien Mommy: The aftermath of an undercover government experiment gone wrong. We can’t say too much, but we highly recommend you stop eating kale.

Animal Party: They are three BFF’s that mean business. It’s no walk in the park when these tres amigos hit the pool.

Fatty McGee: He use to be the quarterback of his junior high football team. His glory days may not be over just yet.

Lover Unicorn: When he’s not moonlighting as an enchanting unicorn for kids birthday parties he’s showing his opponents what’s at the end of a rainbow. All that glitters is not gold.

Fish Gentleman: You know what they say about tall top hats....this fish is no gentleman when it comes to competition. If only his monocle could talk; it’s seen some crazy stuff.

Tubetastic: World Splashfest Key Features:

Choose Your Battle Arena: Select your game mode experience from Balls of Fury, King of the Pool, Battle Arena, Survival, or hit randomize to make your pool party even more fun!

Versus and Co-op Action: Play head to head battle royales or work cooperatively to survive the variety of dynamic enemies that lurk in the deep. The tight, fast-paced in game physics with easy to learn but hard to master controls will keep even the sturdiest of swimmers on their toes.

Online and Offline Multiplayer Madness: Play on the couch with friends, lounging in the middle of a pool, online against people from around the world or battle devious bots offline. Immerse yourself in a sea of chaos as you use your arsenal of weapons to battle your way to the top and be crowned king or queen of the pool!

Pool Rules Mix Up The Game: Select from an array of mutator pool rules to drastically alter how each game mode plays. Make your tubes extra bouncy, crank the speed up to insane level, add a plethora of bouncing beach balls, or turn on invisibility; the options are endless in this stupendous summer smackdown.

Unique, Funny, and Weird Cast: Choose from over 10 characters, each with a unique starting weapon and stats. Different tubers are better suited for particular game modes, so figure out who’s the best for your aquatic style!

Version 0.1.8 Updates | Randomizer, Chat...

Hey there!

As we get closer to our Early Access release, we've improved and added some things with versions 0.1.7 & 0.1.8. Here we'll talk about some of those updates.

Offline Randomizer

The game can be played offline with bots or with other players using splitscreen, so we thought of a way to make offline more fun: adding a randomizer that puts you in a random game mode with random mutators!

Online Quick Match

The Quick Match option is available in online mode. Just like the randomizer, it puts you in a random game mode. Having a Quick Match option was crucial in making the game easier to play online - just hit a button and join the first match you find!

It works when you're in a party too. Can't decide which game mode you want to play with your friends? Let the game decide for you!

Improved Chat

Chat got some QOL updates, based on feedback from our alpha testers.

Now, you can use either T or Enter to open chat. Previously, you could only use Enter, which didn't allow you to open the chat on screens where you needed to press Enter to proceed.

Now, you can chat on the matchmaking screen, before the actual match has started. Previously, the host could not chat (because of the Enter issue mentioned above), and names weren't displayed (instead, it showed the player numbers) because the names weren't loaded until the match started.

Chat text also has shadows now, so that it's easier to read on lighter backgrounds.

Improved Party Features

The game supports party play, through Steam invites.

When you're in a party, the party leader selects the game mode to play, while the other party members wait. So we made it so that all party members could see what game mode the party leader was selecting.

We gave some more control to the party leader - if the party leader backs from a game mode (let's say they decided that they want to play some other game mode), all the party members are sent back to the menu as well.

Similarly, when the match ends, the rematch options are unavailable to the party members, except for the leader. The party leader must select an option (rematch or go back to the menu), which is selected for the rest of the party members as well.

This makes sure that all party members stay in sync.

We started our multiplayer development with one Europe server. For the Early Access release, we've added two US servers as well (East and West).

The game will get more servers as it grows after the Early Access release.

Thanks for reading! Make sure to wishlist the game:

About This Game

Welcome to Tubetastic: World Splashfest where 1-4 tubers enter the pool, but only one can be crowned king. Immerse yourself in an acid trip sea of fast-paced chaos as you use your arsenal of weapons to battle your way to the top. Seek out face-owning power-ups, master the art of boosting and bouncing to dodge your enemies, hunt down your friends and foes with brute force, or laser beam unicorns up the you know what.

Tubetastic is best played competitively with friends while your feet are soaking in an ice-cold tub of water singing the hit tune “Unda Da Sea”. Play Head on battle royales or work cooperatively to survive the variety of dynamic enemies that lurk in the deep.

Each mode has unique objectives and obstacles from protecting your balls of fury, surviving swarms of A.I., claiming checkpoints and a buttload more.

Pick from a wide variety of mutators to help play to your strengths or make the match harder.

Each tuber comes with a trademark starting weapon and attributes. Pro tip: Different tubers are better suited for particular game modes.

Tight fast-paced physics with easy to learn, but hard to master controls.

♥ Use the force of the boost button to bounce off or into objects for maximum effect.
