What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Medicinal Herbs is being developed by a solo developer, and community feedback is extremely valuable when developing a simulation with many interconnected systems.

Early Access allows me to improve balancing, usability and gameplay based on how people actually play the game instead of developing everything behind closed doors.

Player feedback and the integrated bug reporting system also help identify problems and improve the game continuously.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“There is currently no fixed date for leaving Early Access.

Medicinal Herbs will remain in Early Access while the core simulation, gameplay systems, balancing and content continue to be expanded and polished.

I would rather release the full version when the game has reached the right state than promise a release date too early.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand the current cultivation and business systems with additional equipment, plants, progression options, automation and gameplay possibilities.

Existing systems such as plant simulation, processing, business management and environmental control will also continue to receive balancing, improvements and additional depth.

The exact scope may evolve during Early Access based on development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and already contains the core gameplay loop of building, managing and expanding your own cultivation operation.

Players can grow and care for different cannabis strains, manage environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, lighting, water and nutrients, use different equipment, harvest and process plants, sell products and gradually expand their operation.

The game has recently received a major technical and gameplay overhaul, including a new save system, improved plant simulation, performance improvements and several reworked core systems.

Development is now focused on further balancing, improving usability and UI explanations, fixing remaining issues and gradually adding more gameplay, equipment and content.

Because Medicinal Herbs is still in Early Access, some systems may continue to change as development progresses and community feedback is evaluated.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There are currently no plans for a major price change.

However, the price may be adjusted in the future depending on the amount of new content, features and overall development of the game.

Any significant changes would be communicated in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is an important part of the development of Medicinal Herbs.

Players are encouraged to share their experiences, suggestions and ideas through the Steam Community. Feedback is especially valuable for balancing the simulation, improving usability and identifying systems that may need better explanations.

Medicinal Herbs also includes an integrated bug reporting system that allows players to report problems directly from the game. This helps me identify and reproduce issues much faster and allows fixes to be included in future updates.

As a solo developer, direct feedback from players is extremely valuable. Many gameplay improvements and future priorities will continue to be influenced by how the community actually plays the game.

About This Game

Grow. Learn. Expand. 🌱

Medicinal Herbs is a detailed first-person cannabis cultivation and management simulator.

Start with a small growing operation and gradually expand your business as you learn how to create the right environment for your plants.

Growing a healthy plant is about more than simply giving it water.

Build the Right Environment

Your plants react to the conditions around them.

Keep an eye on:

  • Temperature

  • Humidity

  • Water

  • Nutrients

  • Lighting

  • Plant stress

  • Power consumption

  • Growing conditions over time

Poor conditions do not always destroy a plant immediately. Stress can build up over time, and plants may need time to recover after problems have been corrected.

The way you treat your plants throughout their life can influence the final result.

Build Your Grow Operation

Start small and gradually improve your setup.

Buy equipment, create growing areas and use different tools to control the environment.

From small grow boxes to larger professional rooms, you decide how your operation develops.

Improve and automate parts of your cultivation as your business grows.

Grow Different Strains

Choose between different cannabis strains and learn how to provide the conditions they need.

Create mother plants, produce cuttings and build a reliable cultivation cycle.

Harvest & Process

Growing the plant is only the beginning.

Harvest your plants and process your cannabis through multiple stages before preparing the final product.

Your growing conditions and the care provided throughout cultivation influence the result.

Manage Your Business

Sell your products, complete tasks and reinvest your earnings into better equipment and larger growing areas.

What begins as a small operation can gradually become a professional cultivation facility.

A Detailed Simulation

Medicinal Herbs focuses heavily on simulation.

Many systems interact with each other, and finding the right balance between plant health, equipment, energy usage and efficiency is part of the challenge.

You can manage many things manually or gradually use automated systems to make larger operations easier to control.

Early Access 🌱

Medicinal Herbs is actively being developed.

The game recently received a major overhaul of its underlying systems, including a new save system, improved plant simulation, performance improvements and many changes that provide a new foundation for future development.

During Early Access, existing systems will continue to be improved while new gameplay, equipment, content and quality-of-life features are added.

Community feedback and bug reports are an important part of that process.
