About This Demo

Hyperstacks is a VR action-puzzle-platformer with handcrafted challenges, memorable characters, and a powerful level editor at its core.

This demo gives you a focused first look at the core Hyperstacks experience: move through handcrafted VR challenges, fight enemies, solve interactive puzzles, experiment with movement mechanics, and discover how the game’s systems connect.

The Hyperstacks Demo includes:

• Tutorial content introducing the basic VR movement, interaction, combat, editor, and level mechanics.

• Selected handcrafted levels built around combat, parkour, puzzles, and fast-paced VR challenges.

• Core movement mechanics, including climbing, jumping, grappling hooks, ziplines, teleporters, skating, and lava swimming, although that last one is not recommended. It is extremely hot.

• VR combat encounters featuring melee and ranged enemies, hazards, weapons, and reactive level setups.

• Greenlink logic systems, letting levels react through switches, doors, traps, triggers, and connected mechanics.

• Access to the in-game level editor tools, allowing you to build and play your own demo levels.

Demo level limitations:

• Levels created in the demo are bound to your local demo installation.

• Demo levels cannot be shared with other players.

• Demo levels cannot load levels made by other players.

• Owners of the full game can re-save their own demo levels in the full version to make them compatible with the full-game level-sharing system.

The full version of Hyperstacks unlocks the complete campaign, the full set of levels and characters, community level sharing, in-lobby quests, a boss battle, more content, and future updates.

FULL GAME DESCRIPTION

GAMEPLAY LOOP

Progress through campaign levels shaped by a cast of distinct characters, each bringing their own personality and style of challenge. Between campaign levels, return to the lobby to interact with them, take on small quests, and unlock new mechanics before diving back into the next challenge.

As you move between campaign and community levels, you will fight, climb, dodge, solve, and adapt through all kinds of situations. Most Hyperstacks levels are built around three core pillars:

• Combat
  Fight with a variety of weapons built to feel great in VR. Face melee and ranged enemies through bullet-hell encounters, react under pressure, use the environment, hazards, and even your own fists to turn fights in your favor.
  

• Parkour
  Climb, zip, swing, swim, jump, and improvise your way through levels with grappling hooks, ziplines, jump platforms, teleporters, skating, hot lava, and more.

• Logic
  Powered by Greenlink, a flexible system for connecting and driving interactions, Hyperstacks supports everything from simple puzzle setups to much more elaborate contraptions, letting levels react and behave in creative ways.

Players can push these systems in unexpected directions, but these three pillars shape how Hyperstacks is designed and how its levels are introduced to you.

THE LEVEL EDITOR IS AT THE CORE

Every campaign level is built with the same tools available to players.

Hyperstacks includes an in-game level editor built around a flexible grid-based system, allowing players to create levels with enemies, traps, movement mechanics, puzzles, logic systems, and complex contraptions, while also customizing colors and lighting.
