Why Early Access?

“We’re releasing Hyperstacks in Early Access because the game is already playable and content-rich, but we still want player feedback to help us refine the overall experience before the full 1.0 release.

Hyperstacks is built around handcrafted campaign levels, lobby interactions, community-made content, and a powerful in-game level editor. Early Access gives us room to keep improving balance, usability, onboarding, performance, and overall polish while the community actively plays, creates, and helps shape what works best.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Hyperstacks to stay in Early Access for around one year, though that may change depending on development needs and player feedback.

Our goal during this period is to keep improving the game, expanding and refining its content, and making sure the overall experience reaches the level of quality we want before leaving Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Hyperstacks to offer a more complete and polished overall experience.

This includes further improvements to campaign content, character interactions, progression, onboarding, performance, quality-of-life features, and the level editor itself. We also expect the game to keep growing through continued iteration, additional refinements, and community feedback across both the official content and the creative tools available to players.

If Hyperstacks is well received, we would also like to explore multiplayer and other additional features over time.

The core identity of the game is already present in Early Access. The full version is intended to be a more complete, polished, and expanded version of that foundation.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Hyperstacks already includes the core experience of the game.

Players can go through campaign content shaped by distinct characters, return to the lobby between levels for quests and interactions, play community-made levels, and use the in-game level editor to build their own creations.

The current version already features combat, parkour, and logic-driven gameplay built around Hyperstacks’ core systems, including the Greenlink logic system, a wide range of level-building tools, and support for community creativity through the editor.

The game is fully playable and already represents the main direction of Hyperstacks, but it is still being improved and expanded throughout Early Access. Players may still encounter bugs, unfinished details, or areas that will continue to be refined as development moves forward.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Hyperstacks at a lower price during Early Access.

As the game continues to grow and improve, we may increase the price closer to or at full release. We want Early Access players to feel that supporting the game early was worthwhile.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is a core part of Hyperstacks.

Players are already able to shape the game through the level editor with their levels, and we will continue paying close attention to feedback about gameplay, progression, usability, balance, and creative tools throughout Early Access.

Community feedback will help us decide what to improve, what to refine, and where Hyperstacks should grow over time.”

About This Game

Hyperstacks is a world of handcrafted challenges, memorable characters, and community-made levels.

Meet the residents of Hyperstacks and play handcrafted levels built around combat, parkour, and logic-driven puzzles. Take on character-led quests and jump into a growing library of community creations.

GAMEPLAY LOOP

Progress through campaign levels shaped by a cast of distinct characters, each bringing their own personality and style of challenge. Between campaign levels, return to the lobby to interact with them, take on small quests, and unlock new mechanics before diving back into the next challenge.

As you move between campaign and community levels, you will fight, climb, dodge, solve, and adapt through all kinds of situations. Most Hyperstacks levels are built around three core pillars:

  • Combat
    Fight with a variety of weapons built to feel great in VR. Face melee and ranged enemies through bullet-hell encounters, react under pressure, use the environment, hazards, and even your own fists to turn fights in your favor.

  • Parkour
    Climb, zip, swing, swim, jump, and improvise your way through levels with grappling hooks, ziplines, jump platforms, teleporters, skating, hot lava, and more.

  • Logic
    Powered by Greenlink, a flexible system for connecting and driving interactions, Hyperstacks supports everything from simple puzzle setups to much more elaborate contraptions, letting levels react and behave in creative ways.

Players can push these systems in unexpected directions, but these three pillars shape how Hyperstacks is designed and how its levels are introduced to you.

THE LEVEL EDITOR IS AT THE CORE

Every campaign level is built with the same tools available to players.

Hyperstacks includes an in-game level editor built around a flexible grid-based system, allowing players to create levels with enemies, traps, movement mechanics, puzzles, logic systems, and complex contraptions, while also customizing colors and lighting.
