Why Early Access?

What do you want available to you so that you can build incredible Zones for you to race through and share with your friends?

That's the most important question that we want answered by the community during Early Access.

We want to get community feedback on what players want from our user generated content (UGC) tools. NERVE has a 10 World Campaign, and each World has its own set of unique Traps that we can bring into the UGC level editor.

We want to know what we should focus on and what's not worth adding so that we don't end up with a bloated system filled with things that our players don't care about!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect NERVE to leave Early Access within 7 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Adding Remaining Campaign Worlds
Our top priority is to complete and release the remaining campaign Worlds 8, 9, and 10. Like the other Worlds, each of these Worlds will have their own Gate Keeper Boss battle and leaderboards. World 10 will also conclude the campaign of the main game.

Fully Featured UGC system with polished and refined Zone editor, content sharing, and search & save features via Steam Works.

Additional Game Modes
Hardcore Mode - When you die, you're reset back to the start of the World. Each World has it's Hardcore Mode Leaderboard. Welcome the Challenge.
Ironman Mode - You start at the beginning, when you die, you reset back to the beginning. Ironman Mode has it's own Leaderboard. You haven't got it in you.

More Music
Additional music tracks for NERVE. Currently there are two music tracks present in the Early Access version that are each split into 3 loops - one for each of the two parts of a World, and the third for the World's Gate Keeper boss battle. The full version of NERVE will have a unique track for each World.

Full written support of EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish), as well as other top language(s) requests from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Worlds 1-6 of the 10 World Campaign are complete along with full Leaderboard support and progressive saving for each. Each World has its own world mechanic that you must learn and master, culminating in a battle against that World's Gate Keeper to progress to the next World!

Fully featured front end with full options support for Accessibility, Audio, Controls, and Video.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, as NERVE is live in Early Access without the UGC system, which we feel is a huge part of the game, we have chosen to lower the price whilst we are in Early Access.

However, this price will increase once we feel our UGC system is implemented to a reasonably substantial degree, but this may be before we decide to fully release the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

UGC System
We want the community to play the Campaign and from it let us know what things they'd love to see in NERVE's Zone Editor first so that they can start creating their own Zones with the things that they think are the coolest!

But we don't just mean the Traps that they can place, we want to know what other features we should be prioritising and bringing online to get our community excited!

We also want to know if there's things that we haven't thought of that they'd love to see.

We want time to interact with our community to bolster an incredible toolbox of toys to give them that will allow them to create things that blow our minds!

You are a vessel locked on a path to your fate. You will travel through beautiful and terrifying worlds where everything is trying to stop you. Like time, you can never stop. When you die, you will be reincarnated as a new vessel. This is your fate and you are bound to it.

Conquer the Campaign

As you race towards your fate, you will travel through 10 corrupted Worlds, each ending with a battle against a Gate Keeper.
Gate Keepers block you from continuing along your path and must be defeated by creatively using the mechanics of their World against them.

Dominate the Leaderboards

Each World has a global leaderboard scoring system so players can see how they fair against their friends, and the world.

Create and Share Worlds

Players can build their own Worlds using
in-game tools and share them from within the game, as well as play, rank, and favourite other player’s Worlds!
