Puzzle game for programmers (and others). This game is so hard! I really like it, but the difficulty level can be daunting.
I would recommend it if you like solving logic puzzles and if you don't mind spending a long time to get a puzzle right. You'll probably enjoy it even more if you *after* solving a puzzle then also enjoy optimizing that solution.

After each puzzle you feel like a pro but then you realize you're not even halfway through the game and haven't even unlocked all the symbols to work with yet...
Sometimes my score is by far the worst out of all players and I wonder how I did it at all, but I did it. And it's just so damn satisfying.

This is a great game with great design and very hard puzzles that you will love to replay and improve upon.

Yep you can watch youtube for the solutions.
But, where's the fun in that?

This game is pretty dang hard, it really takes a LOT of thought - different from the usual puzzle game.

Congratulations! You’re hired as a reaction engineer for SpaceChem Industries, the galaxy’s leading chemical supplier. You’re going to be shipped off to far-flung worlds, harnessing their resources to generate the molecules that our space-faring society requires.

SpaceChem is a game about molecules. No, that’s not right. It’s a game about programming. Well, that isn’t exactly true either. SpaceChem is a game where you will take an impossible-seeming assignment, deconstruct it and build an incredibly complex engine to complete it, one bit at a time. This is a game of puzzles, of organic problem solving, of creativity.

In the most boring terms possible, here’s what you do in SpaceChem. Take input molecules, break them down or combine them, and then output a target molecule. Your “waldos” can manipulate the molecules on the board, but you have limited space to work in. After a few easy introductory levels, timing and layout become incredibly important to your success.

The best thing about this game is how open-ended it is. There is no “correct” way to solve each level. You could solve it with a small number of instruction symbols. Or you could strive to limit the cycle time of your reactor. Either way is valid, but you will hardly ever be able to minimize everything in one single solution. When you finally do conquer a puzzle, you will see your scores compared to the entirety of the playerbase. How did someone solve that level in less than 1000 cycles?! It took me hours to figure out how to solve it in 3000! You could revisit the problem again and try tweaking your reactors (as all of your solutions are saved when you finish them), or you could jump into the next problem right away.

The soundtrack is both familiar, and entirely new. Its’ epic soaring highs and quiet methodical moments are both uplifting and encouraging, but it doesn’t distract from the matters at hand.
The visuals are likewise very well thought-out. This feels like an industrial console, and is likewise very simple and it is mostly very easy to grok what is going on. This is critical, as your understanding of how the different objects interact and the sequence they will perform is your only hope of debugging your solution.

SpaceChem is not easy. In fact, it is one of the most difficult games I’ve ever played. I couldn’t even beat the last few levels without looking on youtube for hints on how to set up my reactors. But, it is not punishing. Instead you feel joy whenever a little part of your setup finally starts working, and when you manage to finally get that last piece into place, its like you toppled an empire single-handed.

If you have experience programming, or want to try your hand at it, SpaceChem teaches you the most important skills that you’ll require. Not syntax or coding. But trial-and-error, debugging, and breaking a problem into smaller parts. If you think you can crack some of the toughest puzzles in video games, this is for you.

SpaceChem is an excellent puzzle game that demans more from its players than many standard titles in this genre. It requires spatial design, layout construction, coordinating of various components, and production output among other facets. It requires its players to build an assembly line to bond chemicals in various designs and then export them to either a load bay, or to the next factory in line, in which that design will be incorporated into a production that will result in an additional design. It can be wonderfully consuing and engaging for the right audience, and an infuriating nightmare for those who don't want to dive into the more challenging levels.

It's fun for awhile, and it's excellent in its design, though it's not something I want to spend too much time with, though those who enjoy various forms of engineering will find hours of enjoyment in this game. Highest recommendations for those who enjoy engineering puzzles with a heavy science bias, while others who wish to dabble in that game space may enjoy it for a bit and then look elsewhere.

This game is a marvel. Zachtronics Industries proved that their sandbox games deserve a bigger scope. Spacechem offers dozens of puzzles in a story-driven campaign, where you need to design and optimize atomic assembly lines. Usually, you just need to produce given compounds, but the real fun begins when you need to manage the reactions in real time to defend yourself against exotic space monsters.

For serious players, the game offers achievements, an optimization race in leaderboard statistics, and hundreds of player-created puzzles in the Journal of Reaction Engineering.

While the main game environment looks very technical, you will become absorbed in building, optimizing and debugging your reactions to achieve results that initially seemed impossible. The austere environment of reactor grids is accompanied by beautiful hand-drawn visuals of various planets and cosmic monsters. The music is original, fitting, I would even say motivational, yet another high-quality element of the whole impressive piece.

So, if you are actually reading this review, I cannot recommend Spacechem enough. Go buy it and make some chems!

炒鸡烧脑但是也非常好玩的游戏,目前感觉完成一关都要好久,完成的时候感觉自己要成仙了,当然成就感也大。之前在乙炔那关卡了一段时间,好不容易完成又在后面氨气那关卡了很久。
主要是有些点容易忽略,比如加化学键的操作不需要在bonder那一个格上。线路可以交叉,而且有些关卡必须要使用交叉线路才能完成

6小时玩到了第三章,外星人来说一下感想。

首先,这个游戏的解谜方法和其余的确实有很大不同。刚开始上手时候外星人根本一头雾水,并且寻找游戏目的时候,还被那个元素表给吓到了。【我去这个还要求化学知识么?!我小学化学都不及格的啊拜托------】

不错他有教学关卡,但是几遍教学下来我还是不得要领。稀里糊涂的混到第一章结束,加上半桶水的日语,才发现实际上是个秒杀级别的推箱子……

游戏目的就把左边给出的要素拿起来,搬运到右边。搬运过程中要连接、斩断,控制两条线的速度,同时尽可能使用零件少、路程短。【为毛我联想到了拆炸弹的红蓝线?】反复尝试,连接出最佳形态的线路,即是游戏的目的。

就像有一位说的,这个解谜叫人上瘾。这话外星人赞同。按道理讲画面这么惨,我还能盯着屏幕拆电线,折腾一个小关很久,拆掉之前画满的蜘蛛网,也算奇迹了。

他比桥、方块边缘、LYNE之类更难,绝对不要想着误打误闯可以过关。玩SpaceChem真的是要动用智慧烧死大量脑细胞,分析推理调整,方能达到理想效果。

目前感觉:剧情满分,美工画风满分,背景乐满分,难度满分,游戏性满分,重玩度满分,卡牌样式满分,【卡牌价格也满分】,徽章样式满分,就是没中文差评= =#

因为当时银联一边我卡单卡得厉害,所以托人买的礼物,多少钱入的查不到了。记得好像不是很贵,回头等夏季打折再买几个来送人XD

首先说一些题外话,这家公司做的游戏(包括单机和页游、要钱的和不要钱的)都是很棒的解谜游戏,有爱的话一定要去围观一下。这家公司和Minecraft还有些渊源,各位玩家可以去了解一下。

这是一款解谜游戏。主角是一名化学工程师(然而其实跟化学没啥关系……),根据关卡的要求,拆分组合分子(您这是催化剂吧……)。难度循序渐进,轻度烧脑,非常适合休闲玩耍。

内容上,主角是一名初出茅庐的化学工程师,被派遣到SpaceChem公司的一个星球上参加工作。主角的主要任务就是利用提供的工具,设计出可以生产目标产品的反应器(Reactor)。每个反应器都中有红蓝两条线路,反应器开始执行时原子夹(Waldos)就会从这两条线路的起点(start)出发,沿着线路移动。玩家可以通过箭头来改变线路的位置和方向,线路可以交叉但不能重叠。移动过程中,原子夹会执行线路上的指令,比如抓去原子、放下原子等等。

所以本质上这是一个指令编程的过程……如果各位玩家去过这家游戏公司的主页看过的话,就会发现他们做的游戏基本都是这种类似编程的游戏,甚至还有一个是用PN节设计三极管的……当然,简单好玩的游戏还是有的。各位如果对解谜游戏感兴趣的话,再次推荐,去他们的官网看看。

一共有10大关,每个大关有6个小关和1个剧情关。基本上每过一个大关就提供一种新工具。关卡一般又分研究关(Reseach)和生产关(Production)。研究关只需要设计一个反应器,生产关则需要设计好几个,而且有时候反应器种类、位置也需要精心编排。

每完成一个关卡,都会有一些统计数据:花了多少时间(cycles),用了多少指令和反应器等等,可以与其他玩家的解法进行比较。

如果以上还不能烧光各位玩家的脑力,游戏里还有线上谜题,由制作人和其他一些玩家设计,难度要多变态有多变态。当然,玩家也可以自己设计谜题,这个就不细说了。

剧情上……什么?一个正儿八经的解谜游戏竟然有剧情?嗯,确实有。我目前只玩到一半,还是有些起伏的。剧情推进的速度取决于解谜的速度,所以……为了各位玩家有玩下去的动力,在下就不剧透了……

但是不剧透忍不住啊……外星人来了之后好燃啊!!!

WARNING: Playing SpaceChem may cause depression, frustration, and suicidal tendencies.

Most of the time it's like:
1. Spend 2-4 hours designing an elaborate circuit to solve an assignment with just one reactor.
2. Success! 1 Reactor, 5400 cycles, 89 symbols! :D
3. Google "1 Reactor solution for <the problem you just solved>"
4. Find a mind-numbingly simple solution: 1 Reactor, 1400 cycles, 43 symbols. :-/
5. Turn off the computer and contemplate on the astonishingly pea-like size of your brain.

Does the idea of designing tight loops and ensuring proper synchronization for pseudo-chemistry-based processes, as an engineer within the space-chemical-industrial complex, get you out of bed?

How about an unhealthy fixation on leaderboards?

This game is HARD. If Logistic Hell is a real place, the last four worlds are it. And then there's ResearchNet, wherein congregate wizards that have been practicing this divine art for thousands of years.

Due to its extreme complexity, SpaceChem will never be a title for everyone. Too deep and articulate for casual players, it will be appreciated only by those who are willing to engage themselves with the deep game mechanics.
