Alpha SKIN of the Week!

As part of ship customization in EVE Online, it’s possible to decorate your ship’s hull with various color schemes that are available in the New Eden Store, known as Super Kerr-Induced Nanocoatings, or SKINs.

Over the coming months we’ll be highlighting a selection of our favorite SKINs for vessels available to Alpha pilots.

Every week, two Steam users will be selected to win the SKIN of the week.

Keep reading to find out how to enter!

This week we’re highlighting the ruby and gold contrast of the “Sarum’” SKIN for the Omen, one of the hardest hitting cruisers in the Amarr Navy.

The Omen is a rock solid medium energy weapons platform that’s simple to fly and forms a key part of any Amarr Navy doctrine. With a 5% bonus to medium energy turret rate of fire and a 10% bonus to medium energy turret capacitor usage per level of Amarr Cruiser trained, the Omen is capable of deliver fast, efficient damage while conserving cap and remaining on the field for longer than other cruiser class hulls.

The permanent “Sarum” SKIN for the Omen is available in the New Eden Store for just 55 PLEX, and can also be picked up on the market in game for ISK.

There are also many other SKINs available in the New Eden Store, which you can access in game by hitting ALT+4.

Pulses or Beams?

There’s always a choice to be made when fitting your favorite ship. Do you commit to a close quarters brawl, with the intent of delivering overwhelming damage, or do you play it safe and conservative, and use ranged weapons and kiting tactics to your advantage?

Which is your preference? Let us know in the comments below for your chance to be one of two pilots who’ll win this SKIN on Friday!

Also, be sure to add EVE Online to Steam as a friend and keep an eye on your steam notifications to see if you’ve won!
