What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Although Tyler: Model 005 is not yet complete, the game is at a point where we can start bringing a community together to help us further polish the game and add new content whilst we continue to build on Tylers story.

Revenue earned from early access will continue to fund the game and help us build on the core mechanics and improve the overall gameplay experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access for around 7 to 9 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“At this moment in time, there is a lot to explore and find.
although some item locations may change whilst in development we will be trying to make sure that your saved game will stay fully working for the full release.

The game will continue to improve whilst in early access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At this moment in time, you will only be able to play around 8% of the total story and we will build on this during development.
Right now the game has around 30 character customization parts to find and 4 of the playing cards that all unlock new ability for tyler to use in his quests.

Upon completion of the final game, there will be 100+ character parts and 13 playing cards to collect.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We anticipate an increase of around 20% upon the final release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Up till this point, we have been using YouTube, Twitter, reviews and press to fix bugs and improve the overall gameplay. We will continue to do this during early access and regularly check the game forum to fix any issues and expand on the game.”

A-V1.699 Released! Big changes

As I was preparing the 1.7 update I was notified that the tower defence mode was no longer working since A-V1.69, this presented a bit of an issue for us as we had implemented some changes that we could not hold back when releasing a fix for the tower defence.

So luckily for you we have had to include these changes early.

As we are coming close to entering Beta we wanted to expand on the game
and give players the option to complete chores (Side Quests) and unlock some cool rewards including skill points, parts and upgrades.

This will give the players more freedom and even more playtime as we move from Pre-Alpha to Alpha release.

  • Levelling up now needs to be done via the upgrade portals found
    throughout the house.
  • Some minor UI Changes.
  • Updated the tutorial to introduce upgrade portals.
  • Bigger sewer system (side quest unlockable)
  • New Time portal.

  • Combat training mini game in the lab (Side quest)
  • Side Quests, these will give you the chance to get some quest only items
including towers, upgrades, sibling upgrades, additional bolts and collectables.
  • Area (The Attic WIP)
This area is available right away for you to take a look at but will
not contain collectables and mission items until A-v1.7.

  • Customisation portal back and forward buttons now working correctly .
  • Tower defence (Survival) now working as it should.
  • Issues climbing from the radio in the kitchen to the shelf above.
  • Basement items no longer show up in the lab.
  • Combat balancing.

So now we have had to release this early your probably wondering what will be added in V1.7 alpha ?

Coming in A-V1.7
  • New main story quests.
  • New side quests.
  • New collectables.
  • New tower defence levels.

This update should be releasing on the 15th of this month give or take a day.
Thanks again to everyone

“Tyler: Model-005 is a breath of fresh air.”

“Tyler: Model 005 will be a force to be reckoned with.”

“...feels incredibly polished and it is the complete contrary to what we’ve come to expect from an early access game.”

About This Game

Tyler: Model-005 is a 3D action-platformer and exploration game set in the 1950s where you control a spunky miniature robot named Tyler. Many years after being shut down Tyler is accidentally powered up during the height of a thunderstorm, you set off with Tyler to discover why your creator is missing and what has happened to your home, which is now overrun with robot-sized rats, cockroaches, and more.

Size plays a huge part Tyler: Model-005. As Tyler, you are a minuscule machine. Pencils and coffee mugs can become weapons. Chairs, stairs and bookshelves are obstacles to your progress - things that are normal take on a completely new dimension in Tyler’s world. Even if you simply want to explore, all the 1950s environments are handcrafted to include a variety of puzzles, collectables, and climbables. Details are important to breathe life into a game, and, as Tyler, it’s your role to find out as much as you can.

But stairs and chairs aren’t your only obstacles. Dozens of different enemies will stand in the way of your goal. While ants and rats may not be the smartest creatures, being swarmed by hordes of them will make life extremely difficult for our little friend. Luckily, you and Tyler are equipped with a variety of different weapons, from your trusty bolt-blade to boxing gloves. Samurai swords! Sticks! Cherry bombs! All of it will allow you to carve your way through the pests that have infested your home while your creator has been missing. Tyler’s relying on your help, so use every tool you discover to find the right combination for you.
