Hey you savage bunch of puzzle solving psychopaths! Today is a very special day in that we're releasing our first ever PREMIUM KILLER DLC Pack . This pack features 6 brand new killers we think are the coolest looking killers we've ever made in the history of the existing universe!

Nothing says 'I'm pure evil, bro, so step off.' like wearing a leather jacket and having a head that is eternally engulfed in flames. Comes with his super badass special kill: CHOPPERED.

Typically only visible in handy cam night vision, this supernatural spirit is the epitome of shadowy darkness. Comes with their super special kill: DISINHABITED & apply's a hard-mode night vision filter across the full game.

Tired of waiting for people's time to die, this wraith has taken the cause into his own hands. Hovers above the ground with a floaty cloak of pure unimaginable darkness. Comes with his super special kill: FAILED SAVING THROW.

Your run of the mill, average, every-day hell-spawn Sumerian demon with the heaviest of heavy metal animated flaming wings. Comes with its super special kill: TOASTY!

A mountain snow beast come down from the icy slopes to smash some heads in. Features real patented RasterVox™ fur and brutally frozen falling ice crystals of death. Comes with its super special kill: SNOW JOKE!

It's... just... well.. It's Kevin.

We've also posted a collected pack of Monthly Murderers (Series 1) for purchase. We were about to fire Nate for spending all his time replying to players about the previously released Killer Kodes, and not getting any actual work done.

In a desperate plea to keep his job, he proposed we put the past Killer Kodes up as a DLC pack for anyone who missed out.

Be sure to stay signed up to the Monthly Murderer Club / Mailing list at www.slayawaycamp.com -- also add slayawaycamp@bluewizard.com to your address book to make sure none of the emails go to your spam folder. Because if you email Nate asking for missed codes, we will be asking him to pack up his things into a sad, water stained and ripped brown cardboard box.

We also made some minor bug fixes in this update. Here are the details of those fixes:
  • There was a strange issue where DLC Gorepacks were occupying the same shelf space and time of normal gorepacks. Their molecular structures were intermingled so purely they made an all new super gorepack, but it caused sever inter-dimensional instability and so we had to put a stop to it. They should now appear on the shelf properly.
  • There was a slight audio click that occurred when you pause the game to go to the shelf, and then back again. This click has been smoothed out into something more of a ___ now. Do enjoy.
  • The shadows looked a little like a potato was generating them. We've improved them slightly so they now look more like McDonalds Fries generated them. We'll get them to the point where it looks like Potato Salad with Egg generated them, soon enough.
  • Improved movement input response time.

PLUS: We've been working hard to lay the groundwork for a full Simplified Chinese localization. That should be coming within the next month, and will feature some cool new chinese killers, Jianshi & The Killer Kung Fu Panda. Not to mention... Android is on the way soon, too! We will have a special announcement on the Android Release Date any day now :)

Happy Slaying!

We just posted a quick fix to Steam which fixes a couple small issues discovered in the past few days:

  • SPAMMING input on keyboard/mouse could cause killer to behave erratically. It's *kind* of expected if you're mashing your face into the keyboard, but we made sure the killer acts with a little more discretion despite your facey keyboard smash smash.
  • NC17 Shower Scenes were not working in PG mode. It was causing a glitch. This glitch had nothing to do with the sight of Skullface's Mom having a shower. Regardless, this glitch should no longer occur. And you should see all sorts of things your eyes wish they could un-see.
  • THATS IT! Seriously we did a whole update for those 2 small bugs. That's how much we care about you guys and girls!
Happy Slaying!

Hope you're ready for some crazyness, tomorrow we're announcing the new Killer Packs. WHAAAAT YEAH BOIIIII

About This Game

Experience a new dimension of gut-blasting terror as an unspeakable killing force of skull-faced killing maims and kills his way through smart-mouthed, over-sexed, substance-abusing young adults. No victim is safe… no law enforcement enforces the law enough… and no animals are harmed… in the summer horror blockbuster smash hit of 1984.

Slayaway Camp is a killer puzzle where you control Skullface, a psychotic slasher bent on slaughtering camp counselors at the title campground. Depicted in colourful voxel graphics, this adorable murderer slides around isometric puzzle levels decapitating, squashing, and perforating his blocky victims. It’s a diabolical logic game that also happens to be a bloody tribute to eighties trash horror.

  • 10 gut-wrenching “videotapes,” plus deleted scenes, for over 200 puzzle levels
  • Traps! Cops! SWAT teams! Land mines! Rotary telephones! Cats!
  • Unlock the NC-17 mode on all movies for even more puzzle insanity (+ censored shower scenes)
  • Starring Mark Meer (Cdr. Shepard from Mass Effect) as “Skullface” and Derek Mears (Jason from Friday the 13th) as “Jessica”
  • Unlock multiple psycho killers, including ones based on cult horror movies such as “American Mary”
  • Discover dozens of spectacular “Gorepack” kill scenes featuring wood-chippers, lawnmowers, Sumerian demon incantations, and more!
  • Genuine hair-metal soundtrack by legendary Canadian group GNÜ TRUNTION

If you love slashing but feel like your personal style of death delivery isn't properly represented, we've got some additional killer packs you can purchase for a teeny tiny cost. Purchasing these packs immediately unlocks the full set of killers on your killer shelf!

Slayaway Camp is the debut title from Blue Wizard Digital, a collaboration between former PopCap founder Jason Kapalka and indie developers Nate Schmold (Cosmochoria) and Ido Yehieli (Cardinal Quest).
