Happy Easter Everyone! We wanted to put out a small but special Easter update for you all! The Easter content is exclusive to the Steam version for now so enjoy the first access to some sweet easter treats!

  •  Sweet new Easter Content! Use the Killer Kode "beaster" to unlock the Feaster Bunny on your killer shelf! Feaster Bunny comes with an all-new special killer kill: EASTER BUNNIED

  •  Also included is a new purchase-able gorepack: DEATH BY CHOCOLATE & a killer bunny rabbit bonus kill!

  •  Not only that, we've hidden a very special easter egg in one of the movie's deleted scenes section - drop a comment if you tracked it down! :)

  •  All-new PG (Puzzle Game) Mode scrubs away every ounce of blood, gore, and general horror movie havoc to let squeamish players focus on solving the mind-melting puzzles in relative safety.

  •  PG Mode unlocks the “Yo! Skullface! After School Special” bonus mini-game, which is really just the Faces of Killed mini-game, but features Skullface practicing his murderous technique on inanimate archery targets.

  •  Updates to Movie Store tutorial to make the Mystery Box more obvious and the tutorial process a little more straightforward.

  •  Improved timing and general well-being of animations when viewing Gorepacks from the Movie Store shelf.

  •  Visual Soundwaves now emit from the phones to give a better idea of what tiles they affect when they ring.

  •  When you turn the lights off, victims and cops get a skinny cloud of darkness around their heads, hopefully helping to illustrate the fact that they are SITTING DUCKS WAITING FOR YOUR MACHETE!!!!!

  •  Disable the shop shelf from being accessible before the tutorial, just to avoid confusing new players.

  •  Cleaned up Gore sliders a bit to avoid bugs and confusion. Single Gorosity slider should now increase blood, bones and gibs overall or reduce blood bones and gibs down to nothing (but still getting cutscenes). Can turn ALL the way to the left to switch to PG Mode.

  •  Moved Gorosity Slider and Killer Kode button to the top area, so they are easier to track down for new users.

  •  New “Movie Complete” Sound effect for more aural stimulations.

  •  Improved font visibility across full game UI / Cutscenes.

  •  A few additional optimizations and minor bug fixes.

Happy Slaying!

Hey Killers!!

Some of you may have already noticed, but we've posted a very special new update for Slayaway Camp that introduces a tonne of new content to your camp puzzle-slaughter exploits.

We've made it now so that every time you unlock a new killer, you also unlock their super special kill animation. You can see their special animation while playing only with that killer, and it becomes part of the normal rotation while you use that killer. We've got some hilarious ones in there like the JIMSAW Killer 'Cornered' kill, the Derek Mears 'Unborned' kill, etc. We hope you dig these new kills!

As the winner of our #SkullfaceAndMe contest to become a special in-game killer, Youtuber 'Batprince' has been immortalized as one of the newest in-game killers. Batprince can come up in the mystery box so save up those skull coins for a chance to unlock him and his awesome 'POLITELY KILLED' gorepack!

In addition to these updates, we've made some other tweaks, bug fixes and other changes based on your awesome feedback. Here's a list of what was done:

  • Update to shelf tutorial to make Mystery Box more obvious and the tutorial process a little more clear.
  • Fixes to some textures that had become distorted
  • Improved timing on animations when viewing gorepacks from the shelf
  • Fixed issue with excessive beeping in menu scene when using a scroll wheel or track pad
  • Additional minor bug fixes. Like the one where that level, the bad thing happens. We made it so it doesnt anymore.

If you notice anything that needs a tweak, don't hesitate to drop us a line either in the comments here, or via email: slayawaycamp@bluewizard.com

Also, don't forget to leave a Steam Review if you've been enjoying your experience. It's been almost 6 months on Steam and we're lucky enough to have a 100% positive rating as of writing this, which totally blows our minds. Thank you all so very much for your continued support!

Skullface & The Slayaway Camp Team

PS. Almost forgot! For those who purchased the Deluxe Edition DLC (Soundtrack, papercrafts, etc) we have included a papercraft Batprince in the folder with the other papercrafts :) Enjoy!

About This Game

Experience a new dimension of gut-blasting terror as an unspeakable killing force of skull-faced killing maims and kills his way through smart-mouthed, over-sexed, substance-abusing young adults. No victim is safe… no law enforcement enforces the law enough… and no animals are harmed… in the summer horror blockbuster smash hit of 1984.

Slayaway Camp is a killer puzzle where you control Skullface, a psychotic slasher bent on slaughtering camp counselors at the title campground. Depicted in colourful voxel graphics, this adorable murderer slides around isometric puzzle levels decapitating, squashing, and perforating his blocky victims. It’s a diabolical logic game that also happens to be a bloody tribute to eighties trash horror.

  • 10 gut-wrenching “videotapes,” plus deleted scenes, for over 200 puzzle levels
  • Traps! Cops! SWAT teams! Land mines! Rotary telephones! Cats!
  • Unlock the NC-17 mode on all movies for even more puzzle insanity (+ censored shower scenes)
  • Starring Mark Meer (Cdr. Shepard from Mass Effect) as “Skullface” and Derek Mears (Jason from Friday the 13th) as “Jessica”
  • Unlock multiple psycho killers, including ones based on cult horror movies such as “American Mary”
  • Discover dozens of spectacular “Gorepack” kill scenes featuring wood-chippers, lawnmowers, Sumerian demon incantations, and more!
  • Genuine hair-metal soundtrack by legendary Canadian group GNÜ TRUNTION

Slayaway Camp is the debut title from Blue Wizard Digital, a collaboration between former PopCap founder Jason Kapalka and indie developers Nate Schmold (Cosmochoria) and Ido Yehieli (Cardinal Quest).
