Om dette spillet

When White House inquiries to the Scoggins Eraser Co. are answered only with curious puzzles, Nelson Tethers from the U.S. Department of Puzzle Research is sent on the case.

The strange events in Scoggins will challenge every ounce of Tethers’ expertise, and possibly his very wits too, with brainteasers at every turn: mazes, logic puzzles, riddles, and more. He soon realizes that these - along with the clinically pre-occupied townspeople, secret societies, and peculiar sounds from the forest - are intimately connected to the core mystery. And what's with the gnomes?

Created with indie comic artist Graham Annable's unique narrative and visual sensibilities, delivered with the distinctive Telltale storytelling style, Puzzle Agent is sure to challenge, thrill and engage in more ways than you can shake a cryptogram at!

  • Plentiful puzzles to challenge your neurons. See if you can find every puzzle to solve the mystery of Scoggins -- mazes, logic, riddles, brainteasers and more.
  • Investigate the strange, peculiar and mind-boggling to crack the case! Your discoveries provide clues to the larger mystery crippling the town, or uncover puzzles that must be solved to reveal answers ... or even more questions.
  • Hunting for Hints: Chewing gum helps Agent Tethers think and solve. Find and collect gum wads around the town to uncover hints if you get "stuck" in any puzzles.

I really enjoyed this game although it was fairly short. The story was engaging and the air of mystery about it kept me wanting to solve the puzzles. The puzzles were fairly difficult at times (I was being kind of lazy though because I wanted to see more of the story). The difficulty level of the puzzles varied throughout the game. The end puzzles were no harder than the beginning ones. I will say that there were a few "light" jumpscares (if I can use the term "light" in regards to jumpscares) which while not particularly horrifying, were just enough to leave you with an eerie feeling. To be perfectly honest I bought it on sale and there is nothing I feel the need to complain about. Overall it was very enjoyable as a casual and lighthearted game.

Short game with lots of puzzles from Telltale Games. The game is worth a one time playthrough with an interesting story that goes along with it. The graphics work great for the type of game that this is. Too bad it's so short.

Made me rewatch Fargo. And it's weird and funny, yet still a nail biting puzzle game of the highest quality.

A very silly casual game.

Quite child like but it's actually a lot of fun with a suprisingly good storyline. I'll probably be getting the second one & for £3.99 it's a pretty cheap way to while away an afternoon.
My only issue is that the puzzles seem to be exactly the same when you replay it so you will already know all the solutions...not really a huge issue though as this is the case with all point & click games. I just kind of assumed that as the puzzles are all things like jigsaws & riddles & things there would be some randomisation.

Still fun, I definiatley recommend it.

I really enjoyed this game. The weird plot makes you want to keep playing, and the puzzles are varied. It's not the same thing over and over. It's not like a random point and click where nothing makes sense, nor is it like the "puzzle" games where all you do is hidden object screens with one or two puzzles throw in. It's truely unique in plot, style, setting, the amount of variety and really kinda everything. It's easy to jump into for a few minutes or for a while, and the puzzle grading system is very fair. Using one hint doesn't insta-fail you, and using 20 hints but still gatting right won't get you the top score.

This is one of those games you really just have to play in order to understand it. I bought the second one right after playing the first.

Buy it but buy it on sale. The whole experience is pretty short and bare bones, but it has some genuine charm and more than a few more original puzzles (uncommon puzzle types) throughout which make the game more than worth to try out. About half the puzzles however are pretty standard visual puzzles either demanding trial-and-error reshuffelling which solve themselves or only demand the basic ability to trace out sequences visually. These are also enjoyable but it reduces several segments to time-sinks which aren't providing much exictement.

The characters and story are great, but the "puzzles" fall a bit short. Some puzzles should just be re-named to: "Drag ♥♥♥♥ around and magically solve it", some rules are confusing and unclear, making you get extremely frustrated as you can only get a "passable" rating after you ♥♥♥♥ up once.

If you want to buy this game for its puzzles, don't. For that I would recommend this game's sequel: Puzzle Agent 2, as it does erveryting this game does wrong, right.

But if you want to get in touch with the story, just buy this game and play it.

While the charatars were fun and the story clever the puzzles(the actual game element of the game) were borderline insulting. Most of the "puzzles" early on were nothing more than an elaborate game of connect the dots. If you are a fan of games like Professor Layton STAY AWAY form Puzzle Agent, you will not have a good time.

Basically Professor Layton in gameplay and execution. However, it is much more simple and the puzzles aren't nearly as tricky. It's got pretty good voice acting. The art style and animation messed with my eyes sometimes though. It's fairly short and can be beaten in only a couple of hours. The Voice acting was pretty good and this game was surprisingly spooky for a couple of moments.

Freaking gnomes.

If you're a fan of Professor Layton, stop reading and buy this game. For everyone else, go ahead and pick this up if you like brain teasers. Similarly, the story is very clever, and the cast of characters are all fun as hell. By the end, you too will be jealous that you aren't a puzzle agent. Unless of course that's literally what you do for a living. In that case, well aren't you fancy, mister big fancy pants.

Puzzle Agent is a game that meets its price as far as quantity, but falls a little short when it comes to quality. This game isn't exactly much of a puzzler, as most of its puzzles can be solved within a minute. As if that didn't' allow you to barge through them quick enough, the hint system makes it really easy to cheat through puzzles. While I do commend the hint system for being very well developed and fair for both puzzle noobs and puzzle experts, I feel as though it allows for the pace of the game to be sped up a lot.
The quality of the puzzles was the real disappointing thing, but there is enough variety in the puzzles to keep you from being bored. If only the difficulty was increased a little bit, that would have made the gameplay of Puzzle Agent amazing.

Being a point-and-click puzzle game, Puzzle Agent relies on its story to keep the gamer engaged. The story is weird, eerie, and feels like it was a mix of Stephen King and CreepyPasta. While I was a bit disappointed with the story's ending, after some thought it really was the best way they could have ended the story.

Thus, while Puzzle Agent is nowhere near the best puzzle game, it is worth the $5 and definitely worth picking up on sale.

Great family friendly point and click adventure game. However it is a little different from the norm. There is no inventory and almost all of the game involves individual seperate puzzles rather than the usual multiple room item based puzzles.

Also be sure to buy both puzzle agent 1 and 2. The first game ends on a rather big cliffhanger

Basically Professor Layton for PC.
This is a good thing.
Puzzles are interesting. There just aren't ENOUGH.
Story is weird. You will never see garden gnomes the same way again.
Art style is unconventional. I like it, some won't.
Puzzzzzzzzlesssssss.

it's exactly like two strangers were told to pretend to be the coen brothers and forced to combine the hacky aesthetic of a newspaper comic strip with the gameplay of a children's playbook

The game left me hanging; it was too short and too weird, the puzzles were fustrating as hell compared to o ther point-and-click puzzle games i've played, i wanted to know more story but it ended way too fast.

TL:DR Not worth it unless it's on sale and even then you might not like it (like me)

Interesting game. Some of the puzzles actually gave me a headache, and I had to sit down and scribble on a bunch of post-it notes. The story is actually really compelling, compelling enough for me to want to buy the second game.
Sadly, this game is very short, since most puzzles were quite easy to solve (some are actually jigsaw puzzles, come on...). Also, I cannot say I recommend this game to anyone looking for a classic-style point-and-click adventure like Monkey Island, Edna & Harvey, and such. This really is more like a stripped down point-and-click game, where all focus is on separate puzzles. This means no items and inventory, and no multi-room puzzles (the most challenging and best puzzles, IMO).

This game could be better if the developers would have made the puzzles harder. Perhaps even adding a couple of puzzles. But I suppose that for the itty bitty price tag, it was totally worth it.

Long story short: Good game, great story, could be better though if it was longer and harder (that's what she said).
