What are the highlights of this release?

  • MODDING. Our rocket scientists have been working hard to bring you this update that can unleash your creative potential! Remember back in Module One when we hinted at some new modding features? Those features are now entirely integrated with the Steam Workshop, right inside the game interface! Upload and download mods, rate and rank your favourites, and subscribe to the best to automatically download the latest updates as they happen.
  • NEW TRACK. Strap on your thrust-vectoring nozzles; you are really going to feel the Gs with the fresh new track from Ben Lam!
  • BURST FIRE. Each rocket has an experimental new firing mode — holding down the fire button results in a firehose of artillery, but also exposes the ROCKETS to a vulnerable shield-free period.

ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is a game where you fly ROCKETS that shoot ROCKETS at other ROCKETS! The ultimate in arcade action arena combat, with the fluidity and amazing feel of soaring through space.

So what is in the game RIGHT NOW?


  • ROCKETS. We feature only the finest interstellar vehicles.
  • LOCAL VERSUS MULTIPLAYER. Get your fellow rocketeers together, we're going to BLOW THINGS UP!
  • UNDERDOG MODE. A flock of rockets versus the lone rebel. Amongst all the friendly fire, will you rocket to the top?
  • TEAM PLAY. Every rocket needs a wing-person!
  • STANLEY. This is a story of a rocket named Stanley. Meet the AI Rocket that thinks he has free will, and meet the rockets he will relentlessly fire at your rocket.
  • COOL LIGHT TRAILS. These are some classy rockets that are a lot of fun to fly.
  • ALL THE CONTROLLERS. In addition to full keyboard support, we currently support dozens of different controllers, and are always adding more!
  • MODDING. Dig into our data files and edit yourself up a new game mode! Steam Workshop support!

Right now ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is an excellent play-with-friends or party game, and attracts crowds when we demo it at events and meetups. Brushing up your skills with the A.I., Stanley, or taking on your friends and loved ones is a blast, as is simply enjoying the wonderful dance of the rockets!

And what is planned for THE FUTURE?

The Alpha version here on Early Access is in constant development, with big updates usually once per month (and experimental builds on an almost daily basis). Though we have tons of small things to try and refine, and though we won't know what's fun and what works until we implement it, here are the things we want to try to get into the game:
  • ROCKETS. The game will not be complete until there are more ROCKETS in it.
  • COUCH vs. COUCH. Play single-player or co-op locally while simultaneously playing competitively over the internet, for maximum fun!
  • LEAGUES. East vs. West? AZ vs. BC? Local friends? No matter what aspirations, a built-in league tracker will let you know how close you are to competing in the NATIONALS.
  • SINGLE-PLAYER TRAINING. Right now you can technically practice with our first A.I., Stanley, but we want to throw actual learning scenarios at you so you can discovery the higher levels of strategy, improve your aim, and challenge yourself and your friends to beat your records!
  • SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN. Hone your skills and rank your rocketeering status with an engaging single player campaign with bonus endless modes!
  • LEADERBOARDS. Think you're the fastest shot in the West? Let's find out!
  • ZEN MODE. Explore the romantic tension as the rockets perform an intricate ballet around each other, making art, not war. Change the color of your contrails instead of firing weapons and share your works of art with the world!
  • CO-OP MODE. We're experimenting with different co-op modes, including two players on a single rocket rocket -- one person flies, one person shoots.
  • ROCKET BRAINZ. A system to allow players to write their own AIs for the rockets and see how they fare!
  • YOUR IDEAS. We listen to our rocketeers. Let us know in the discussion forums!

画面简约,操作简单的小游戏,但是玩起来还是很刺激的。
总的来说就是两只火箭飞船对打,但是由于惯性的原因,想瞄准对方还是非常有难度的,而且难以击中目标恰恰也是游戏的一大乐趣。顺便可以体验速度还有子弹擦肩而过的快感。

目前版本内容较少,不过体验后还是很期待后续内容跟进的。
感觉在小游戏里应该是属于比较耐玩的了,推荐。

游戏不错,就是很多部分有待开发。目前游戏操作设置里默认的是手柄,没有写键盘。官网上有:WASD+J火箭/K雷/L炸弹,或者方向键+C火箭/X雷/Z炸弹。其中雷是可以对自身造成伤害的。(有问题欢迎指正)
游戏整体很赞,音乐很动感,飞行及射击感觉不错。可惜没有手柄,键盘实在是太累手指了。

呃,至于成就嘛,就一个,登录玩儿一下就圆满了。

Hey! I am a member of TEAM ROCKETS so my review would be biased and terrible for you. But we would like to hear your feedback; we check the steam forums many times a day!

But if you want to know what I really think about ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS, let's get *serious* for a moment.

I've been a game developer for many years. A lot of times you work on an exciting idea that seems like it might work, and a lot of times you work on things just out of momentum, and sometimes you wake up and discover you're working on something you should have cancelled months ago. It's sorta the way life goes, as a developer; it's hard to objectively see what you are working on as anything but "good." A lot of the time it's hard to even find playtesters to help you out.

Sometimes, though - rarely - an idea comes along that hits you like falling in love does. You jump out of bed every day to work on it. You can't stop thinking about it. The whole world gets more vibrant, and you see your idea everywhere. Everyone you show the early prototypes to instantly get it and also fall in love. You start gaining fans and all you have is a title screen or a doodle on a napkin... And they aren't friends or family. This kind of experience is incredibly rare, and I am stupendously honoured to be feeling it for ROCKETS right now.

I know I'm in the thick of it right now, and I still have those rose-colored glasses on, but I think I will fondly look back on ROCKETS for the rest of my life. It may not be my best technical work, it may be unfinished right now, and it may not become a commercial success (I'm writing this before the Early Access launch!), but by golly does this game feel right in every way.

It feels incredible to build, it feels incredible to play, and it feels incredible to be a part of this talented team.

I hope you'll fall in love with the game like I did.

ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is exactly what the title implies. You fly around in a rocket and prove to others who is the studliest of all the rockets.

Here's a Quick Look video if you want to see how this game plays. There's also my review below if you simply want a more in-depth and concise look at the game.

Let me start my review by saying this game is extremely bare at this point. It only has local dogfighting between 2 rockets, 2 v 1 underdog mode, or team deathmatch. But damn is the dogfighting good. You get three different ways to attack: by shooting lasers that go straight ahead, dropping bombs that fling out your side and are effected by gravity, and finally mines that shoot out your backside and blow up behind you. Simple right? But try throwing that in with high-speed rocket action. Suddenly you have to plan your shots to cut off the path your enemy is flying. Did the enemy drop a mine? Knock it right back at him with a laser and laugh in his face. Wanna rain death on a pursuer? Fling bombs into the sky and try to weave away from the hail of death. It's simply fun experimenting and trying to become the best pilot.

And trust me, you'll always know who is the better pilot. You simply can't win the game based solely on luck. You have to dominate your opponent with the tag system they implemented. Basically put, both sides start from scratch, and if you hit the enemy 3 times in a row, it's your win. But if he hits you once, he'll knock a tag off your streak that you'll have to make up for until you fill the gauge in the top of the screen. This means games can end quickly, or be an intense test of endurance between two evenly-matched pilots.

Another great point of this game is the visuals. I love painting the cosmos with my vapor trails. Not only does it enhance the sense of speed you're getting, but it also tells the tale of the dance of death the rockets have been through. And when I say dance, I mean it. The music in this game is super catchy, too.

But let's discuss some negatives now. Just keep in mind that his is Early Access, and most of this will probably get changed in future patches.

*The game is super short in its current state (you do everything there is to do once you play your first match). It's just dogfighting. And while it's good, it might not be enough to sell it at this point for some people.
*There is no progression or anything to unlock. Something that'll keep the player coming back for more is always knowing they'll get rewarded if they play more.
*All the rockets are the same, just colored differently. I'd like to have different looking rockets just for cosmetic purposes at least. Just something to make me feel unique.
*No upgrades to weapons. I'm not talking flat out upgrades that are better than another, but more of something that makes them act differently. Like a laser that fires faster but has limited range. Or a mine that explodes in a larger radius but you can't shoot out as many. Just something to make this game more strategic and diverse would be good.
*No online. This will be fixed later, but it'll remain a negative until it's implemented.
*No tutorial. Sure it's fun flying around and getting absolutely owned by the AI for the first few times, but some sort of menu to list the controls would be nice.
*No options menu. You can't change the sound effects, resolution, or anything else ingame currently.

Now while that may be a lot of negatives, most--if not all--of those while be ironed out in the future. So wait until then if they bother you.

So to wrap this up, this game is going to bud into something very good. And for the low cost of $5 they're handing it out for currently, it certainly worth picking it up even now.

*As a side note, I will (hopefully) update this review as major patches are released or just do it again once it's finally released. Just yell at me and I'll come running to take another look if I forget.*
