Rise of Nations: Extended Edition
The game from my childhood and the only strategy that I love to play even now. This is a remastered version of the game from 2003 and one of the most popular strategic games. Extended Edition contains the full contents with the addition of Thrones and Patriots. Rise of Nations offers a lot of nice campaign where our goal is to lead our nation to dominate the world. During the game you have to take care not to be destroyed by other nations but also develop a number of aspects such as economy, science, technology, diplomacy and military power. Each of these aspects will give you the opportunity to develop troops, build new buildings and to develop new opportunities in old buildings, but also move to a new era. With each progression of the game is changing the look and statistics buildings, military units and other things. Each nation has its own unique army as long as the nation still exists. In the game to expand, we have to use wood, stone, food, science, and oil at a later stage of the game, not forgetting that each of these resources can run out of. There is also an advanced diplomacy through which you can contain very beneficial agreement with other nation. In the game you can also play scenarios and multiplayer, but only with friends because no one plays. The game in terms of gameplay has hardly changed, improved graphics and added more resolution size. I like this production and do not regret a single hour spent at the game. Great soundtrack, an old but still nice graphics and a lot of things to do while playing the game. In my opinion this is the best strategy game I've ever played, many hours of fun for me. The game I am able to recommend, however, the game also has a bug that irritated me at first because I could not change my resolution because the game was crashing. However, it was manageable change in a text file.

Been playing this game and many others like it for a very long time and I have alwasy enjoyed them a ton. I hope to see some new games coming out with this kind of style but I don't know if ill follow them. I've been getting into survival games recenlty and have been enjoying them a ton. I've been playing Rise of Nations for about ten years, since I was little. Probably the best RTS I've ever played.

> Citrus repairs nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.
> Titanium intensifies the Russian Winter.
> Sheep make your civilization smarter.
> War Elephants instantly transform into tanks.
> Horses make tanks cheaper.
> Papyrus makes it cheaper to invent electricity.
> Rafts with bonfires instantly transform into nuclear attack submarines.
> Bears make it cheaper and easier to create the Department of Homeland Security and institute the draft.
> The Aztecs can field tank divisions.
> The Mongols support their horse archers with fighter jets.
> American Hoplites and Cataphracts.
> You can bribe trebuchets to transform into howitzers.

Conquer the World Campaigns:
> Play as Alexander the Great; beat up Indians and steal their elephants.
> Play as an European or Native American power; beat up Carribbean islanders and steal their rum.
> Play as Napoleon and stop Lewis & Clark's nefarious expedition.
> Play as Mikhail Gorbachev, eliminate Jimmy Carter's NATO and steal Ronald Reagan's nukes.
> Help the Americans and Chinese fight the Mongols and Ottomans in World War I for control of Mongol-held SIberia.

This is one of the most elegant Civilization style games I've ever played, hands down. It's exceptionally well-balanced, and the difficulty levels truly reflect how difficult it is going to be (ie: hard is pretty hard, even for a veteran player). The game avoids a lot of the "micro-management" aspects that these games tend to turn into, particularly as you get into the late game. There are nice ways to automate many tasks, such as turning on automatic troop production at a building, telling troops at a certain building to move to a certain place when ready, telling bombers or bombardment units to focus on a spot, and good controls for selecting a specified regiment or army with a single click.

Everything from game speed to AI is just very well tuned. There is a wide assortment of different nations, which all have unique bonuses and a healthy number of conquer the world maps and scenario maps to play. This gives the game a huge amount of replay value, so I guess the developer Big Huge Games is an appropriate name.

I can't recommend this game enough if you enjoy the real-time strategy genre.

I've purchased this game three times now and Steam's rendition has not disappointed. If you loved the original RoN then prepare to fall in love again with RoNEE. Many of the negative reviews center around bugs and crashes. This has not been my experience. The game is working just fine on my 7 year old PC running Vista-64 bit and I'm happy to be wasting away the hours playing this classic RTS game.

Have played this game for years and love it just as much today as I did then. Simple controls makes it easy to understand and it's great watching the world you create develop over time. Love this, would always recommend.

Classic for the fans of Age of Empires II, but takes things a few steps further with territory borders and ages that span into modern warfare.

Rise of Nations is one of my most favorite RTS games ever right before the very old Empire Earth. very good game for people who enjoy large scale wars without the horrible lag that total war might give you.

This is Civilization and Age of Empires put together in one. If you love Civilization's broad span of history and its depth and Age of Empires' style of RTS then you will absolutely love this game.
