The Second Score Contest is Here to Celebrate the Degica Weekend Sale!

The Degica Weekend Sale is here and that means it's time for the second Judgement Silversword score contest!

But first, check out the sale. JSS is 40% off and there are discounts on our other SHMUPS as well (like Eschatos).

The first Judgement Silversword score contest, "Paradiso", was a success! Our thanks to all who participated!

Paradiso winners are in green boxes. Purgatorio winners are in yellow...

Contest One "Paradiso" is Complete!:
This contest is over. Contestants competed in a score contest in Cardinal Sins’s Normal Mode.

Contest Two “Inferno”:
Begins immediately and runs until October 27th at 9AM PT.

Contestants will compete in a score contest in Judgement Silversword’s Hard difficulty. This is the main mode of the game, not Cardinal Sins. Scores submitted in normal difficulty will not be counted. The top three scores at the time of contest completion will be the winners. Scores submitted before or after the contest will not be counted.

Contest Gaiden “Purgatorio”:
The first Purgatorio contest is complete, but we're holding a second!

Anyone who submits a score during the Inferno contest (and isn’t in the top three) will be eligible for the Purgatorio contest. Ten random eligible scores will be selected. The top three highest scores of those ten random selections will be our Purgatorio winners. This essentially creates a contest between ten random contestants, regardless of skill level, so make sure you submit your best score, even if you're not near the top three scores on the board!

Prizes:
All winners can pick one of the following: a Steam key for ESCHATOS or JSS, a Steam key for the ESCHATOS AST or OST, or $5 USD in Steam wallet credit.

...Good luck, everyone! Need some tips and info on the game? Check out this guide and (Unofficial) Manual written by yours truly!

Giveaway!
In addition, we're running a giveaway this weekend with $1000 in Steam Wallet Codes up for grabs! You can get all of details and enter here: http://promo.degicagames.com/weekend-deal-giveaway/

About This Game

Judgement Silversword is the winner of the "WonderWitch" 2001 game development contest, and was originally released in 2004. Designed for the WonderSwan Color, Judgement Silversword has the unique distinction of being one of the few shooting games designed for a handheld console, and it's also one of the best! Destroying enemies as quickly as possible is essential to scoring in Judgement Silversword, giving the game a ruthless tempo. One of indie developer M-KAI's first games, it can be seen as the inspiration and predecessor to the gameplay ideas in Eschatos.

Cardinal Sins puts an interesting twist on shoot 'em up gameplay with a score trial marathon spanning 7 different areas, each with a unique objective themed around the 7 Deadly Sins. Collect lives in Sloth, Hoard enemy data in Greed, and avoid Destruction at the hands of Wrath. Mastering the different objectives gives the game a great sense of variety. Getting an S rank in every trial is very challenging!

Key Features:
  • Two different games! Includes both Judgement Silversword and it's sequel, Cardinal Sins.
  • Relentless shmup gameplay. Use your three weapons efficiently to rack up a high multiplier. However, your multiplier will drop quickly, so wipe out the enemies as fast as you can!
  • Varied challenges and a deep scoring system create strong replay value.
  • A faithful port of hard-to-find WonderSwan Color games.
  • See where the legend began! Play the games that inspired Eschatos.
  • Steam achievements are supported.
