This game is so much fun to play! It's engrossing and challenging - but there is such a sense of achievement that you get after finishing a part in a level that you were stuck on.

Love this game so much - highly reccomend to anyone. This game deserves way more players than it has now.

This game is amazing.

Amazing graphics, amazing gameplay, amazing storyline, amazing music...

Long story short, it's a very engaging game and it really connects with the players. As you journey saving becomes an easier and more frequent thing, oddly enough, which makes passing each puzzle and section of the world more enjoyable, as you don't have to redo things 100 times over. Except escaping the ginso tree. And the wind caverns. And the massive killer hero birdie.

Hurray for birdies.

this game is not made for people who just want to have fun and play something enjoyable this is made for the same people who would pay a fat sweaty guy $50 to whip them for an hour. Seriously what is the deal with all these punishment games the mechanics a great but the constant dieing and replaying the smae part 30 times because your timing isn't perfect is stupid. I understand there is a crowd that like these type of games I like a challenge to but when its the whole entire game it becomes boring fast.
TLDR; not a massicost there fore I didn't enjoy it

This game is only the second game I have ever actually completed in a long line of games and I absolutely loved every moment of it! Even those moments when I wanted to tear my hair out with frustration were made worthwhile and made me feel so accomplished once I'd completed the level. And with 10 game save slots, I'll definetely be playing this again and again!!

Ori and The Blind Forest is perhaps the Best Indie Game i've ever played. The first time I started this game, I was blown right away by the Main Menu art and the background score and I knew it that it would keep me hooked until the end, and it did.

This Game is not your regular Indie game as it's quite challenging, perfect for me but some casual players may find it difficult because this game severely punishes you for your mistakes. Initially it took me a while to get used to the controls as you cannot remap them, it's not a big deal but it would be great if we could.

The Visuals are breathtaking as you will just stop by and gape at the gorgeous art for minutes. The Audio department did a great job in making the high quality sounds, even minute sounds can be heard clearly. You may get frustrated in certain parts but it's the beautiful sountracks that encourages and keeps you going, and thats an important aspect of a game. They are so beautiful that you just wanna die in peace listening to them. The Dialogues are mystically unique, they don't actually make any sense but they sound so cool. The letdown is that they reused most of the same dialogues in some scenes.

Coming to the story, its very emotional and may make you cry easy peasy. Its not complex as The Walking Dead or something but its a Heart touching story. I hate to admit this but tears came to my eyes at the ending, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

So yeah, every aspect of the game is damn-near perfect. Do yourself a favor and get this Masterpiece, it's worth every penny.

TL;DR:

Pros:
  • Fluid Gameplay
  • Heart touching Story
  • Breathtaking Visuals
  • Cool Dialogues
  • Beautiful level design
  • Animation variety
  • Amazing Soundtracks by Gareth Coker
Cons:
  • Reused Dialogues
  • Cannot remap controls
  • Maybe too difficult for some?
  • Can't return to some areas
  • Glitchy Leaderboard
  • Bash Skill control using Keyboard

Simply put, it's a Masterpiece

BEAUTIFUL game! I'm only about halfway through, possibly more, but I do love it. I had to put it down, however, as it got to be too frustrating to continue. I will have to go back to it some other time. More skilled gamers with a penchant for aesthetically pleasing indie side-scrollers with cute animal protagonists and whimsical story-telling will enjoy this. Even less skilled gamers will enjoy it, honestly, because gameplay is fun and rewarding enough to encourage you to keep trying. Eventually I'll get back to this, but what I have played has been enjoyable.

One of the best side scrolling RPG's I have ever played that rivals the classic Metroid games. Excellent engaging gameplay, marvelous visuals, and a masterpiece of a sound track. If you enjoy video games and have not tried this game yet, stop reading and hit the purchase button.

This game is not the best, but I'll always remember it.
We know the graphic, story line, soundtrack and controlling are the soul of the game. This game have done really well in those parts.
I could have all emotions while I played: excited, moved and sad.
I'm highly recommand this game to u guys for no reason, but all reasons.

I cant add much to the reviews which hasnt already been said, so I will simply say-

"Ori and the Blind Forest" is the best "Metroidvania" game since Metroid OR 'vania (that is, the masterpiece "Castlevania: Symphony of the night" *hugs his black-label PSX disc*). Its as if Studio Ghibli made a video game.

Beautiful art, fantastic score, great level design, a unique, fun combat system and a truly heartfelt story. Ori may very well make you cry-- if not from the tale being told, then from the brutal difficulty you will experience in places. For a gamer vet like myself it is a perfect challenge, but it may turn off more casual players.

If youve got the chops though, Ori is a must-have IMO, especially when it finds itself at $5 on Steam Sale.

11/10 -- doesnt get much better than this!

Ori and the Blind Forest is a beautiful and lovely game.
It tells a story that brings tears to my eyes and combines it with a fun gameplay and stunning graphics.
Everything is so detailed and designed with devotion that I feel like a kid in a fantasy world again.
You should really have experienced playing this unique Jump'n'Run by yourself, otherwise you'll miss something gorgeous.
Okay okay, I'll stop being a fangirl now. xD
Just buy the game! ^_^

awesome graphics and music, fun game play as well. Tho there are the occasional bugs, which nonetheless can be resolved quickly using one of the online scripts to bring you out of the unintentional level traps.

By far one of the most beautiful games I have played in a long time. The environments are all so breath taking, and I absolutely adore each character. The story, while rather simplistic at first ended up having a dark turn towards the end of the game that gave me goosebumps when I encountered it. The downside is, I feel like this is the kind of game you can really enjoy once. There isn't much of an exploration element to this game which is rather sad. I would have loved to have had free range in this game to explore more of the landscape. Nonetheless, this is still a wonderful game that I highly recommend players to try!
