Beta 1.9.7.8 - A small but important fix for teleport stations.

Some players found previously placed teleport stations were disappointingly converted into monster spawners.

This patch fixes that by returning them to their true state. All blocks that were originally teleport stations before patch 1.9.7.7 will again work as expected. Your saved worlds should be automatically repaired when you next load them.

No other blocks should be affected in any way. We're going to keep this as a beta build for a couple days to validate the fix.

Let us know if you experience any issues with the Beta build!

Thank you to those that reported this issue. We appreciate your help and understanding!

About This Game

CastleMiner Z is an online coop survival horror game in a block based environment. Travel with your friends in a huge, ever-changing world and craft modern weapons to defend yourself from dragons and the zombie horde!

Game Play

CastleMiner Z is an infinite world filled with deep places to explore, and horrifying monsters to slay. Build structures out of blocks, craft weapons and tools from raw materials, and explore the vast and frightening world around you.

Play by yourself or online with friends in any of these exciting game modes:

  • Endurance Mode: There are tales of a place beyond the mountains where Hell itself has torn through. How far can you get before you succumb to the zombies, dragons, skeletons, or other enemies that thirst for your blood? Run, fight, and sneak your way across dry deserts, snowy mountains, and icy expanses on your quest to vanquish the ultimate guardians of the abyss. In Endurance Mode, the world is randomized each game and the death of your party is permanent.
  • Survival Mode: If you enjoy Endurance, but would rather build permanent structures and defenses, Survival Mode is where you’ll spend your time.
  • Creative Mode: With simplified crafting and the ability to adjust or eliminate the enemy threat, Creative Mode is a great place to build vast structures in peace.
  • Dragon Survival Mode: For those who like their trophies big and their hair singed and smoking, Dragon Survival Mode brings you up close and personal with wave after wave of the biggest, meanest, scaliest brutes in the game.

Worlds can be saved in any game mode (except endurance) so try building a castle with enemies turned off, then grabbing some friends and loading it up with enemies turned on!

This game was really fun, everyone should buy it, however my only grievance is that this game isn't more expensive. At 5$, this game is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too low a price for the though and expertise made by the developers to make a game that will top any gamers Top 10.
10/10, very nice

***jk this game is dog ♥♥♥♥, don't buy please. spend the money on castrating yourself or something, but not this unfinished, unoptmized, piece of human excrement.***

It has been awhile, I'm sorry for the players that have put this game uncomfortable to their hearts, for the memories, and adventures they had. For a player that also tries to put this into their heart as for the feels and memories, Castle Miner Z is ♥♥♥♥
Castle Miner Z is ♥♥♥♥.

Why? Why? Why! This game is quite empty for like, 4 or 3 years, this game has a lot of dedicated fans, and we are just getting updates with spawners and fixes, what the ♥♥♥♥. We have still have players that drop onto a server, and get a bad taste as, it's the same ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥♥ as before. As I have before dropped into a server, bored, and looking to adventure, oh I see the same thing, horrid terrian, ♥♥♥♥ zombies, and trolls ♥♥♥♥ing with us. Again, where are the options to ban and have complete control over players, or to turn off teleporting for players maybe? What about a variety of blocks, guns, mobs, steam workshop? The developer had a ♥♥♥♥ ton of ♥♥♥♥ing time, and delievers us one or two fixes, and monster spawners. ♥♥♥♥ ton of bugs, and glitches could not rip this game further.

Remember the ♥♥♥♥ing feels, the adventures you may experienced on the Xbox or PC, ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥, you might be lucky to get a troll to ♥♥♥♥ with you, so you don't have to waist the rest of your time and play another game. Let me make my points why the game is ♥♥♥♥, and you should find another game if you never experienced this ♥♥♥♥ in 2011.

Don't expect to find much updates (UPDATE It seems the developer is added and fixing some, but don't expect much)

A troll's heaven (There is barely any way to protect and experience the game as it is, anyone can teleport to anyone, and in PVP, you will have to rely on the player to quit to survive. That also includes that anyone can grief anyone)

♥♥♥♥ graphics (This is undeniable this is a clone of Minecraft PC, and they tend to be ♥♥♥♥, this includes CMZ, this frames)

No variety of mobs (Zombies, dragons, skeletons, and demons? And some bosses, uh ok, oh wait, aliens!)

NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS NOT DONE, IT WILL BE UPDATE IN A DAY OR SO FROM THE PUBLISHING DATE!

First, I think I have to explain why I love this game. I don't have all but like, under 2 hours logged but this game has a special place in my heart.
Let me take you back to the year 2011. Minecraft wasn't out yet, and my xbox had a red ring of death. So, for that christmas (And my birthday, I also have my birthday on christmas). I got a new Xbox 360, I got on Xbox live, my friend Nich and my friend Ben started telling me about this game called Castle Miner Z. That's when the fun began, see... Before this we didn't have minecraft so we had to play alternatives such as Fortresscraft and total miner. Both games I had fun with, but not to the extent that I had with castle miner z. This game was hard as BALLS! You would die... And die... And die...

But eventually in the timespan I mastered this ♥♥♥♥ing game. The first time me and my "clan" killed a dragon it scared me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but after a while I started to really master it. So for about 5 months we played this game, pretty much everyday for about 6 hours... If I logged a lot of time into this game. Eventually we built a whole ♥♥♥♥ing kingdom with a hierarchy and everything. It was insane, people building and adding on. In the hierarchy, I was somewhere at the top, with my friend Nich being the leader so we were tight. Eventually he decided to give me my own kingdom. So after a while I searched went to this strange floating island and built a guard tower, a church, a hotel, and it was amazing. Another time we went to hell and built a huge underground tunnel. It was great, we dug out holes to kill a bunch of demons. It was great.

After a while, the game began to die down with the release of minecraft on the Xbox. But this game will forever be in my heart for the epic moments of victory we had. But yesterday, 5 years later I bought it on steam... It was good, the framerate was laggy, I don't really like the new inventory system, but I can look past it. I also watched TotalBiscuit's review on the game and, it cut deep. I don't have anything against totalbiscuit in general, but I don't think he understood what it was like in 2011 and 2012 playing this game, it was the best alternative to minecraft we had. The part that really cut me deepest was that part where he ripped on that one song que, maybe it was altered in this version... But the first time I heard that sound que it felt really epic. I was walking out into the world with some other people, and I crossed a desert pass. It felt really amazing.

To wrap this review up, I would only reccomend it to you if you played it on the 360 in that time when you didn't have anything else to play.
Back then I would have given it a solid 8.5/10.

But in the end I think it deserves a solid 7.5 in my eyes.

I like this game, I played it a whole bunch on Xbox 360. It has improved a ton since I played it back in 2012. I think endurance is extremely hard (And it should be) so it puts up a good challenge. I recommend playing that with friends. But I enjoy and back in 2012 only played the survival game mode because the achievements were not worth anything untill now since they are on your steam profile. But this is a fun game that I have enjoyed for about six years, I wont stop playing till I get all the achievements!

Great Game If you loved it on xbox you will love the pc version is really the same. They are not really updating it anymore, but it is still a good game to play with some people. Its fine because it is mostly stable and they improved the graphics some what more then the xbox version. Buy it on sale if you loved the older version.
