Ya know, I really really want to like this game. I really do. I don't mind the fact that you can't be the official super hero but can only make a character based off the super hero you admire. That makes sense or else you'd see like 900 batmans running around and a handful of Flashes.

The problem stems from a handful of things. The first of course is the play to win aspect. It's pretty rampant. I understand that they need to make money somehow, but it's pretty over the top in this game. Secondly if you don't create a character that has flying as it's mode of transport (You can choose super speed, flying, jumping extreme distances, etc.) then you're pretty much walking at a snails pace. Last but not least is just how amazingly repetitive this game is. Every mission, every quest, every objective is essentially exactly the same. Kill x amount of this badguy. Defend objective x until the timer runs out, kill henchmen until the badguy arrives to take a package.

Now don't get me wrong there is a lot that is good about this game. It's pretty, the character creation is really fun, and the costumes you can unlock are pretty cool. But overall I have to admit that as much as I wanted to like this game it just falls flat. It gets right to the finish line and just sits down and refuses to go any furthere........Unless you have $14.99+$14.99+$9.99+$5.99.....

I won't say this is the best game ever, it isn't. I mean, it's pretty fun, i enjoy the gameplay, the story, the costumization. It is a shame that it is basically P2W and DLC based. In August players had the chance to play episodes they didn't buy, which was pretty cool. If you don't buy the DLCs you're pretty much stuck in the same missions over and over again.
I never bought a DLC or anything in this game, never spent a dime on DCUO but I am considering spending just a bit from time to time to get access to my escrow cash.
Even with all this cons (P2W and many many DLCs) I still enjoy the game and will keep on playing it on my free time. As a free player you still can do a lot and overall I think the F2P part of the game is very very good, just don't expect to be the no. 1 player without spending some money.

To be honest i would not reccomend this game as it is pay to win.If you don't buy premium-which is quite( sorry for spelling mistakes) expensive as well, the content is very limited. Also playing with friends might have saved the game but it is a bad system. You don't get instrutions and the things you can do are very limited. Also i don't know if this happens to everyone or just me but the game is very choppy.Personaly i would not recommend this game but you are free to try it out.

Should be renamed DC Universe Offline. I've been trying to play the game for a week now and it just keeps DCing every few minutes. There is no Dev support at all.

It's sad, the potential it had, ruined by microtransactions and random DLC. It's like what another user said in the game, the developers serve you a cookie crumb and it's the best cookie crumb you had. They offer you another crumb from their cookie and price it something like $15, and that's when you pay it only to find out it tasted the same as the regular cookie crumb you got. I fully agree with that, and it's not the end of the trail of cookie crumbs, ooooh no, my friend. It's just the beginning of a long-line of microtransactions just so you can feast on the rest of the cookie crumbs. It's even worse when you look outside of the DLC and into the other microtransactions. WHAT!? I NEED TO FORK OVER MORE CASH JUST TO GET TO CONTINUE PLAYING THE GAME!? When I first saw this, I felt like growing my hair long enough to make a noose from it as it's still attached to my head. Wait, MORE MICROTRANSACTIONS!? I feel like it's rather a freely-microtransactionable-playable game than a free-to-play game. Nevermind the amazing gameplays that are possible, microtransactions bring the buzzkill. All I ask about this game for it to be approved is simple; loosen up on the DLC and remove most microtransactions so we can feel like it's an actual free game. Maybe then I'll return to the game. Before I end this rant, let me tell you...

I don't care if you like the game (if you do, good for you) or if you hate the game, all I care is to warn you to not waste your money on this game's wasteful time of DLC and fun (economically and literally) absorber of microtransactions. Spending your money on a wishlisted game instead is something to do better than falling into the microtransactions like a internet using idiot falling easily to viruses. I hope you enjoy your day if you took the time to read it all.

I used to really like this game. Leveling up used to be a fun experience.
The graphics were really nice, character customization was excellent, and the voice acting was superb.
But the DLCs. Oh my god the DLCs. They never end. They never stop coming. It's like they give you a cookie crumb and it's the most delicious cookie crumb you've ever tasted so you want more. They are holding the rest of the cookie and offer you another crumb of it for $15. So you pay the $15 for the first DLC only to realize half of these powers are exactly like the last power set you played only with a different skin. But what the hell maybe I'm just imagining things. Then the next DLC comes out and you want to taste that delicious cookie once more. You pay another $15 and make a new character. Yadayada yada I'm tired of leveling in the same zones with the same quests that have no replay value. I'd rather go read a book or something. So you decide to try some end game content with your level 30, only you can't because there is none unless you buy all the DLC. Little did you know the 2 DLCs you bought didn't actually come with any end game content that people actually play.

Game looks nice 5/5
Voice acting 5/5
Gameplay 4/5 at first

The game is a sample of a bigass cookie that is sold as DLC crumbs
Over 9000 DLCs
More DLCs
Interface was mostly terrible with very little options
Did I mention DLC?
Lots of grinding
Poor power design
Harsh caps on everything
What's this? Another DLC?

It has a nice big world, but also classic, boring, slow mmo action, along with some bad P2W features ensuring you have even less fun as a free player

You're supposed to be a superhero with great powers. but instead your a dude in spandex suit with almost no power with no special defenses and crappy powers. Worst, you spend most of your time fighting with a weapon instead of using your powers.

Did I ention the game is DLC based?

If your looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding lemon bars recipe you've come to the right place.

1) 2 cups Flour
2) 1/2 cup Sugar
3) 1/4 teaspoon Salt
4) 2 sticks (1 Cup) Salted Butter, Cut Into Small Cubes
5) Filling
6) 1-1/2 cup Sugar
7) 1/4 cup Flour
8) 4 whole Large Eggs
9) Zest And Juice Of 4 Medium-sized Lemons
10) Powdered Sugar, For Sifting

1. For the crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch pan with butter.

2. Stir together the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter to cut it all together until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into the prepared pan and bake until golden around the edges, about 20 minutes.

3. For the filling: Stir together the sugar and flour. Crack in the eggs and whisk to combine. Add the lemon zest and juice and mix until combined. Pour over the crust and bake about 20 minutes.

4. Allow to cool in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours, then sift powdered sugar over the top before cutting into squares.

(Use an 8 x 10 pan if you'd like the layers to be a little thicker.)
