This route is getting old now and does have it's faults. In some places, the tracks are placed too close together so passing another train will result in a crash! However, this doesn't happen with the supplied ex London Underground trains, only seeming to effect full size main line stock, so if you do write any scenarios for it, be careful!

Now for the good points, for a start you get 14 scenarios, yes, FOURTEEN! It seems recently it's become the norm for DTG to only give a few, relying on people like you and me to write more for them but this route come already packed with tons to do. As well as this you get three types of train, Diesel, Electric and Steam with a nice varity of rolling stock. The class 483 ex 'tube' trains are unusual and a change from the norm, not wonderfully detailed but you do get two liveries. The Invincible 0-4-0 steam loco is very cute and comes with a couple of period carriages as well as some varied goods stock and you even get a diesel personnel carrier for a bit of fun as well.

The line itself is tiny, 8 miles end to end and i'm sure many will think thats just not worth bothering with after theyve done a run from London to Brighton for example. However, the low speed limits to make for a challenging drive that can last for a surprisingly long time. I recently wrote a scenario for this and just one trip along the line was over half an hour, plenty of time for most players. It's also surprisingly difficult to keep a clean sheet with those speeds as well. Those of us used to rushing to tight commuter timetables will be surprised how hard it is to go SLOWLY!

At the full price this is still pushing it's luck at about £20 but there are many sales and it's part of a couple of packages. If you can get it with a discount, SNAP IT UP!

Following a recent patch (23rd Feb, 2015), various fixes and improvements have been made to this add-on. Not only do all previously broken scenarios now work but aesthetic improvements have been made (no floating objects, rain effects on the 483's windows) and even new Southern Railway semaphore signals have been added to replace the default Kuju ones!

As the route itself is fairly short and the assets can seem dated compared to more recent routes, £19.99 might seem a little steep to some. Personally I think the ubiqueness of the line and variety of rolling stock makes it worth it, even at full price. But in sales this can drop significantly and is definitely worth the purchase, especially as some older third party routes require the assets.

This route is very nicely done and comes with lots of senarios. the tube stock is a bit basic but that means it not too hard to use meaning its a good train for a begginer like me, The interior of the tube is nice apart from the man that looks like a cardboard cutout. the steam engine is very good its not to hard to use like other bigger steam engines. the senarios are very good and you won't run out of them like newer route dlc's. I recomend this dlc to begginers.

A perfect route for beginners in train simulator where you get to operate all three systems of railroading: steam electric and diesel. There a good amount of lines that are in the same "beginner's" category (in my opinion).

Let me first start of by saying this DLC DOES work! Not sure why so many guys seem to have problems with it. Works fine for me.

Now back to rating the DLC :D

The Route is beautiful. I can't say if it looks like the real route since i never been to the Isle of Wight but it looks pretty good to me. It comes with several scenarios aswell as a Class 483 Tube Train and 0-4-0ST Steam Loco. I love the fact that they use an old London Underground Tube Train :D Both Locos look nice and are easy to drive.

It is a fun little cosy route and well worth the 11 Bucks i paid for it durring the Sale
