Hideout Showcase

While the team are currently busy working on performance improvements and upcoming content, we thought we'd indulge in one of the more niche parts of the game: Hideouts. Today's news post is a showcase of recent community hideout submissions. In other news, we just deployed patch 2.3.1b.

About This Game

You are an Exile, struggling to survive on the dark continent of Wraeclast, as you fight to earn power that will allow you to exact your revenge against those who wronged you. Created by hardcore gamers, Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in a dark fantasy world. With a focus on visceral action combat, powerful items and deep character customization, Path of Exile is completely free and will never be pay-to-win.

Key Features

  • Freedom. Power. Revenge.
Banished for your misdeeds to the dark, brutal world of Wraeclast, you play as the Duelist, Witch, Ranger, Templar, Marauder, Shadow or the Scion class. From forsaken shores through to the ruined city of Sarn, explore Wraeclast and uncover the ancient secrets waiting for you.
  • Unlimited Character Customization

As you explore deeper into Wraeclast, the pool of available variations increases to challenge you in new ways. All of the Missions and their variations can occur anywhere in the game, including within end-game Maps.
  • Dressed to Kill
Path of Exile is all about items. Find, collect and trade magic, rare and unique items with arcane properties, then customize your character build around the deadliest combinations you possess.
  • Brutal Competitive Play
Battle in PvP tournaments seasons and Capture the Flag events for worldwide recognition. Compete in Daily Leagues and Race Events that run as separate game worlds with their own ladders and economies to win valuable prizes.
  • Customise Your Hideout

An enjoyable game once you get past the awful performance issues, insanely overpriced microtransactions, and the steep learning curve.

You'll probably get frustrated or bored with the game and quit a few times as well but you'll come back because it's the only good ARPG in the market.

Great game, with some similarities to Diablo 2. Steep learning curve and not much help ingame - recommended to find a guide on youtube or read the wiki before starting. Great developer adding new major content ever quarter.

Many reasons to start playing that game.First of all,the variety it gives you to build your character as you please. After that, the insanely enormous skill tree, which gives you many possibilities for your creation. In depth game struggling to reach lvl100 with beautiful maps and bosses. The only bad i can think is that the stash tabs are only 4,which is hard to keep all the items you want and that leads to micro shop(to buy extra tabs). To sum up,a FREE TO PLAY arpg that beats many alike games which cost 20~euros.ENJOY that MASTERPIECE.!

The first MMORPG for me that actually feels like a game, with no P2W, ridiculous microtransactions, or anything of the sort, it's just a great game.

Hi, young female here with 0 gaming experience before this game. My husband is a huge PC gamer and really wanted me to take interest in it. This is the first game I ever looked into and I.LOVE.IT! I downloaded it when it first became available a few years ago and played it all the time. I took a bit of a hiatus after starting D3, but always came back to this game. I still play it to this day and it just gets better and better. I've gotten my husband interested in it, as well. I'm sorry my review isn't very informative, but I'm not an expert in these things. I just know that this game is super fun, has a great storyline, and is for everyone. I definitely recommend!

Have you ever thought "Man I love diablo, but 3 kinda sucked compared to 2" well then this game is for you! It feels so much like diablo it's insane, but has SO much more to offer!
Ontop of it being a great mmorpg with tons of people playing, it has character building none of us could have dreamed of. I mean the passive skill tree alone is MASSIVE, easily the biggest i've ever or will ever see. The amount of different character builds and skills you have to mess around with alone will leave you with hours and hours of entertainment. You'll be remaking and creating new characters for months the combinations are endless, on top of the constant updates and expansions this game will consume your very life.

What are you waiting for, there's a world in here... and they need your help.

This game reminds me so much of all the goodness in Diablo 2. So what has this extra to offer?
Well, first it's not set in the graphics of the Blizzard universe which makes it quite refreshing, both literally and figuratively speaking. There is no gold and the concept of 'weapon value' has been dropped. So what's important? the gems. They give power and magic and they grow as you advance. They can be resocketed and thereby not lost after first use. The skill tree is very impressive which allows your character to evolve to become very unique. Much of the magic is known but there are plenty new tricks and moves (and totems and prophecies). For a free game very impressive. Monster bashing and fireworks to the max.

I'v enever reviewed a game but I was so impressed with it I had to. Below are the top 5 reasons I think you should download Path of Exile.

1) It's Free!
2) Stunningly Beautiful
3) In-Depth Character progression, the skill tree is insane
4) Intuitive Gameplay, there's not really a tutorial but after 5-10 minutes in the game its easy to figure out
5) Straight Forward, despite it being free the in-game store is labeled "Microtransaction Store" so you know exactly what it is. I love this. What's offered there are visual items and pets, things that dont impact the game play. You don't need to buy anything to enjoy or advance in the game. Purchases seem to benefit the continued development and operation of the game.
