Elsword Celebrates Two Occasions this February + Awesome Item Mall Goodies!

Hi-ya Elpeeps! It’s already February and we all know what that means: Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year are here! Time to break out the fireworks and start digging in on moon cakes! If you’re single and willing to mingle then find out tomorrow to see what Elsword has up its sleeves. We’ve got great events and even greater Item Mall goodies for everyone this week!

Lunar New Year Celebration
Get your fireworks and lucky charms ready because the Lunar New Year in Elsword promises prosperity and good luck. We’re practically giving stuff away during the celebration!

• Log your attendance for 8 days straight and receive rewards for each day that you do! Be sure to click the ‘Attendance’ button after 16 minutes to be able to click on the glowing puzzle piece, otherwise it won’t count!
• Cobo Services are also giving away Lucky Bags and Luriel’s Ice Burners for just logging-in for 60 minutes every day during the event.
• During the Lunar New Year’s celebration you’ll be given a chance to Teach Son Goku a Lesson. Defeat him 3x a day to get a Gold ED Bag. Collect 8, plus 1 Alchemy Essence, and you’ll get a Millionaire’s Dream accessory when you exchange the materials through Ariel.

Valentine’s Day Event
Don't let the opportunity to be with your fated one pass by. The Valentine's Day events will definitely be bringing people together. Plus, there’s free stuff and we’re sure you don’t want to miss that.

• You don't have to play alone this Valentine's Day. During the event, there will be a UI that allows you become a couple with someone on the same server. If the coupling becomes successful then you and your partner can reap the benefits of being a couple this Valentine's Day!
• Couples and married couples get an MP Buff called The Power of Love! and The Power of Promise! in dungeons.
• Players who get married during the event will receive four Wedding Bouquet Flowers that can be exchanged with Ariel for costumes and consumables. Players who attended a wedding will also get a Wedding Bouquet Flower.

Look dapper and appear like you always mean business – even when you’re fooling around – with the newest Noir costume.

The Qipao costume suit really gets you into the celebration by dressing you up in a traditional Chinese costume.

And lastly, Fossil Reader Packages have a 1 + 1, 5 + 1, and 10 + 3 bundle options. This guarantees that you won’t run out of Fossil Readers when you need it most.

Happy Lunar New Year everyone~ See you all in game!

As you can tell from the hours, this game is fun. I really do enjoy it but... this is truly pay2win at core.

The good things you want like ice burner sets, skill slot b, skill notes, costumes, etc. all need to be paid for. You can go through the game leeching off of the free ♥♥♥♥ they give you from events and such, but are they truly satisfying?

PvP is also ♥♥♥♥ if you're one of the competitive types. Reach lvl 80, get you some secret dungeon gear, socket it to the teeth, an ice burner set if you really want, and spam (or "loop" cause apparently it isn't spam anymore) the same two buttons that everyone else with that class does. Trust me, you'll win. Oh, and don't worry about what your opponent says. Nine times out of ten they'll just call you a spammer out of spite.

This game is absolutely awful, the older, original characters (Elsword - Eve) are completely outclassed by any of the later characters (with some minor exceptions). Therefore, if you like competitive PvP at all your best bet is going to be 1 or 2 classes, Add and Luciel at the moment.

Additionally, if you aren't in NA you may experience Elsword's Laggers, you will be staring at your screen watching someone warp around everywhere while their skills buffer randomly and end up killing you, fun.

The leveling is trash, it consists of doing the same dungeon 3 times, once on any difficulty, again on hard and again on very hard, for EVERY dungeon. Once you get up to skill notes and job changes they consist of grinding the same dungeons sometimes upwards of 20 times or paying $5 USD.

Which brings me to the cash shop, sure it's a free to play game but, it may as well not be, you start off with a ridiculously small inventory which you have to pay about $2 USD to expand by 8 slot, 8 SLOTS, to top it off you need to buy these for every one of the inventory cateregories : Special, Inventory, Consumable, Item, Quest, you'd need to pay $10 USD just to upgrade each of those inventories by a measly 8 slots (not enough, so you more have to spend about $30 USD just go get enough inventory space). Then there's the costumes, they cost about $30 USD each and if you want to play competitive PvP good luck without a costume, also, if you want to play Luciel you need 2 costumes so $60. The worst part is: costumes and inventories aren't shared across characters so, that $30 USD you just spent on your main character's inventory, yep, you need to spend another $30 for every other character you want to play on,

Please don't play this game, it's Nexon's second Maplestory and is nothing but a shameless attempt to grab as much $$$ as possible.

I've tried so hard to like this game, I really have. I've put in 200 hours, and it's 200 hours i wish i had back. I've uninstalled this game so many times it's not funny. Every time something new comes along I grit my teeth and hope for the best. It never gets any better. PvP is so broken it might as well be "hit your head against the wall" simulator. Sure, you can Try to win, but guess who you're fighting against: Mr. Op-bottoms and his fat stacks of cash! His money will shield him as he stunlocks you against a wall and kills you in one combo, doesn't that sound like fun? (I'm looking directly at you, Lu/Ciel and the new VIP system.) The various characters are quite nice, very varied. But every single one of them has a skill or combo that just screams, "Screw you, I don't care how good you are, you're dead." Dungeons so tedious and repetitive you'll think pulling your teeth out is a better time. I GET IT the level designs are beautiful, very very true! But I can see that the first time I go there, and by the 5th time it's lost its charm. I'm not gonna go into the in-game store. What I have to say about it has been said before.

Goodbye Elsword, you were a sick tempting mistress. But you've aged too much and it's time to return you to the street from whence you came. Godspeed, oh daughter of Babylon.
