Drabaki, The Warden of Darkness, is Elsword’s new Raid Boss. Drabaki rends the very ground beneath him as he tears towards our heroes. This is a Raid Boss encounter that allows up to a remarkable 12 players join in to fight Drabaki together! Sounds easy right? On the contrary! You have to bring your “A” game. Though you may take Drabaki on with a party of 12 players, you only have 12 minutes to destroy this gargantuan monstrosity or lose.

Oh! Did we mention that he was huge? Drabaki’s epic coils, flaming purple poison and tree-sized bladed tail are large enough so that all twelve players are getting hit from all angles; it’s hands-down, the toughest fight in the game.

The rewards are epic. Drabaki has a small chance of dropping the very rare Jewel of Drabaki; an awesome +9 Weapon. As well, players who defeat Drabaki will receive a Title with some wicked stats, a Raid Boss Cube with Random prizes, high level crafting items and more.

Check out the video here:

Party down with Eve and the Elsword crew, or declare war against Drabaki, the biggest and baddest Raid Boss in Elsword history.

New Raid Boss Dungeon + Eve's B-Day

Did you think that Eltrion was the worst of your nightmares in Elrios? Well you are dead wrong… From the hometown of Ara, Fahrmann’s Peak, lurks a beast banished from heaven. Drabaki!! A snake-like guardian with a wicked temper. Stack up on those resurrection stones…

Drabaki’s Origins
Drabaki is a snake who was banned from heaven and possesses the ability to return. Legends say that the snake will turn into a serpent and finally will return to heaven as a dragon with a special gem it holds in its mouth.

Fahrmann’s Peak Raid Boss
The Gate of Time opens a new door to a brand new Guardian who dares you to challenge what lies beyond it. You and 12 of your fellow Elpeeps have 12 minutes to defeat Drabaki or you will lose.

Drabaki presents newer challenges for players. Eltrion is more stationary and gives more clear indicators of where he will attack. On the other hand Drabaki’s snake like body is harder to avoid as it covers most of the map, however, with a little experience his moves become easier to track and predict.

In additional to knocking players out Drabaki dishes out some pretty powerful attacks including a giant black hole that sucks players in. Gewd luck…

Item Mall Goodies: Salvatore Solace Elesis!
Elesis finally catches up in the brand new Ice Burner Costume for Salvatore Solace.

Eve’s Birthday Party Bash Continues
The party goes on! We have so much to cover in honor of Eve’s 3rd Birthday on Elsword! (Okay so technically she’s thousands of years old) but she’s 3 in-game hee hee~ Take on some Birthday quests and you will be able to craft your own special Eve Crown. Cute huh?

Please note that most (I say most) negative reviews for this game are mere complaints by random players who whine and cry about their inability to play properly in PvP.

Let me list my problems with this game.

There is a significant pay-to-win issue in the game in the form of costumes and gear enhancements. Contrary to other free to play games, Elsword's costumes give stats and Gem Sockets which serve as significant portions of your character's over stat potentials, resulting in those without money being severely disadvantages from those who have spent money. More to the point, Equipment enhancements, due to their nature of exponentially increasing stats (From a 1% stat increase at +1, 15% stat increase at +6~9 and a +30% stat increase at +9~11). Hence, those who do not have the money and dedication to spend money for enhancements will be EXTREMELY DISADVANTAGED.

The PvP system of this game, contrary to most individual opinions, is genuinely well-thought out and generally well made. However, there is a significant balance issue with some characters, notably Sakra Devanam, Lunatic Psyker and Mastermind, each a class which was revamped or released very recently. Furthermore, the above problem with pay-to-win also comes into play- there is no gear normalisation. Hence, there is a very, very, VERY MAGNIFICENT(?) problem in the form of high-enhancement weapon wielding users being extremely advantaged in PvP situations.

However, this game's PvP is dependent on your ability to 'catch'- i.e., hitstun your opponent and land a series of hits in the form of combos, and repeat. Hence, it is potentially possible for any character at any level to defeat any character and any level, as long as one's skill level is higher than the other.

This is with the exception of Sakra Devanam as she will always, ALWAYS win regardless of circumstances if you are unable to catch her and defeat her in time. Yes, there is a living time-bomb in the form of a character in this game. A significant problem. Figuratively speaking.

The PvE system of this game serves as several dungeons in which you clear stages after stages of monsters, culminating to a generally difficult last-stage boss. However, after a while these bosses become walkovers, and it becomes boring to grind these after a while. Challenges exist in the form of solo Secret Dungeons and Henir Challenge modes. These however also become walkovers with sufficient enhancements.

Would I recommend this game? No. really, no. It's genuinely fun, yes. However, that's only once you reach the end game and you have sufficiently invested enough time and money in order to establish your character's power and place in the Elsword world. I genuinely do not recommend this game for anyone with insufficient time on their hands. I genuinely do not recommend this game for anyone young or with a volatile personality as this game will induce salt and rage at times, especially in PvP.

+Pretty fun for the most part, espcially with a friend(s)
+Currently 9 unique characters, each with different classes
+Nice graphics
+Combos are very different from character to character
+It can be addicting once you have found a character class that you enjoy playing
+Decent and friendly customer support

-VERY overpriced cash shop about $15-$30 for a costume (optional of cousre, but does give stats that help out slightly) or $23 for a mount, that will greatly help out in PVE
-Some costumes are only available through "Ice Burners" which are $1 each, but are not even close to guarenteed to get you a single piece of the costume set. (you could spend $50 on ice burners and get nothing useful)
-If you want more than 4 skills (which helps out alot) it's $9
-PVP is very unbalanced (incredibly gear based)
-Most characters are also broken in their own way
-Extremely grindy after level 45ish, made harder with the slow EXP gain
-Stamina system, which limits how long you can play each day (however not too much of a problem later on)
-Dreadful community- example: tons of ragers who will insult you in a very childlike manner over the stupidest of things
-Dungeons become very boring and repetitive after a while
-This version of elsword (North America) is behind with updates when compared to Korean elsword, but is ahead in updates compared to other versions at the same time
-ED (the in game currency) is pretty useless, it can not buy you costumes or any useful, unless you want to trade with another player, which will cost you millions of ED

Do i still reccommend this game? Yes and no...
This game does become highly addicting despite all of the negatives, you will always have something to work towards, which is what makes the game addicting, be it gear only obtainable through doing secret dungeons, wanting to grind your way towards level 70 or SSS rank in PVP. You could even try your luck in getting the best time in Henirs mode, which has most of the bosses from each region that you need to kill consecutively (does require good gear however.)
The only reason I personally still play this game is becasue I have a goal of getting a decent gear so i can progress in PVP and Henirs.
Finding a particular character and class that you enjoy will be hard to do as there are 9 characters with 3 classes each (that you can progress at later levels) and only a limited number of character slots (7 to start off with I think.)
I would reccomend playing on the Elsword VOID client though over the NA one, (it is basically a private server) as the EXP gain there is better, you dont need to spend millions of ED on a costume or $20+ per character, you have 8 skills instead of 4 and the community is just more mature and friendlier overall.

Then again, Elsword is a free game and there is nothing stopping you from playing it and trying it yourself. Most of what I said is debateable, but the only way to truly know wheter you will enjoy somethinge is like is to try it yourself. Who knows, maybe you will have a differenet opinion than I do . :)
Overall i'd say it's worth your time if you are willing to spend money on it
4.5/10... I guess

I'm addicted. Horribly, horribly addicted. Don't be me. Don't sacrifice your life to this pay to win game. The leveling process becomes tedious and dull around Fieta; if you win pvp at all, you're a "noob" for some reason or another; you never feel like you have the full experience because of the cash shop; and the dungeons have little to no challenge to them aside from occasionally having to stop fighting and move out of the way of some super armored boss, and even then that's more annoying than anything else. I may be addicted, but you still have hope. Go. Leave this page now, and never return! In the name of all that is good in this world, don't become like me!

While interesting intially, the game quickly becomes redundant and along with the minor glitches, lack of real customization... I just couldn't keep myself interested. If you like mindlessly grinding extremely easy content, then this might be the game for you, but I personally like more customization and uniqueness in mmos. There are other mmos that do what this game does better.

It's very, VERY grindy, and the game is hard to get through by yourself. The leveling system is tedious, as you have to grind enemies & clear dungeons. It's pay-to-win, really. You pay real money for accessories, which really don't do anything for your character.

Don't let my hours fool you and my time on steam. I been playing consoles and other games for a while now and been playing non-steam version of elsword for 3 years.I just gotten me a gaming computer and gotten steam for it. Anway let me begin the review.

*Have at least 3 friends to play this game with and you have a blast.
*The back ground and the scenarios of the game are soo beautiful.(it is anime base after all.)
*It's classic, bring back Memories to classic gamers and there isn't that many 2D side scrollers mmo's, so if your a indie gamer kind of person and into mmo's, this game is for you.
*The outfits in this game are just amazing, I love them all. You can never get tierd of changing looks and there always new ones to enjoy and like.

*Mindless action- Meaning there no strategies, tacties or thinking needed to beat enemys and foes in elsword, it's all about rushing in and attacking as fast as you can't with out letting the enemy or foe move an-inch in this game(like pvp), results of being to easy and finishing the duns and enemy off and not much of a challenge. Elsword doesn't have class roll's meaning any healers, tanks or supporters, everone bascially a offensive char and all there class are to, but some class have very little support skill like TT with shield and mp giving and WS the only class that have a healing skill but no one use it but hey elsword is a to easy game and you don't need it but add-ons like this is what make team work and mmo's interesting.. but oh well.
*Not all costumes can be obtain easily, like ice burners, you can only get them through burning Ice burners, the problem is..it give you most useless stuff like magic stones,Advance magic stones, shards more. Those are the 3 it give more then the ib sets, high level accessory and +6 ammy's or more.So that means you could be spending 100$ and not get anything useful.
*The Economy in this game is sooo bad, Everything is expensive, the cash shop and in-game board. A Perm outfit is 33$ and skill slot B is 9$ and a mount is 23$(for a short time after the event) so you could be spending 60$ per char or more sometime just for the small things you want. As for the in-game board..it's impossiable to get anything(For NA Elsword). Alot of people said "Well, stop complaing about the game being expensive, you can just buy it off board" but elsword in-game board for costume pieces and ib sets and rare items be over 100 mil ED and you only get 2 mil Ed per run in final region of elsword duns(Sander). So trading and and having good spending friends is your best luck in elsword NA
*The game is nothing but a RGN loot(meaning it rely to much on drop rates, random and mostly luck)there no quest in this game that just give you anything rare or worthy really...
*The game is super reapetitive...(example) beat the dun on normal, oh you beat it? Good, do it again hard, now very hard, now very hard 3 times. Once you done with the quest, your only half way there to level up, so you would have to do the duns over 10-25 times(through Feita-Sander regions) it get pretty annoying and boring pretty quickly and tiersome and it prove this game was to careless and lazy in-making for the questing system.
*pvp...is the most complan thing ever in this game, it's pretty much broken and very much un-blance and very much gear-base.But I won't go into detail much sense the community it self will tell you how bad elsword pvp is.
*Stamina system..idk what to say except it stupid and pretty tearing the players freedom of playing. Once it hit zero, all you can do is play pvp, stand around and talk with people and play on another char.
*Sound track- The sound track in this game is so bad and boring, meh, I only like 3 and pretty much it, most people had to add custome for mods but to others, most don't.
*Content- Okay they clam they have new content constantly more then other mmo's which is true, ever 2 weeks they have a new update, but reason I dislike it, cause it mostly just new ib sets, new outfits, mounts and pet to spend alot of money only and barely anything new.
*Customization-They said in the about me."Custom like crazy"but there isn't any "real" costomization at all unless"you paid for it" and"grind for it" which ever mmo have or should have so I say it's pretty misleading what they said in there advertising and about the game section.

Do I recommend this game? Only if you don't mind it being nothing but a grind-fest,can afford this game, you don't mind a mmo's of picking chars you like and you like small and simple game that doesn't offer much contex and not create your own and got good friends that willing to take time into this game, but over all I don't recommend this game. Personally I quit this game, not even void or korean server interest me much , cause of the game play it self. But sadly I still play this game only for friends reason. But once PSO2 and BNS comes to NA(there still hope for BNS for NA btw) i'm 100% done with elsword.
Is this game paid to win? It's more a mixture, half paid to win and half not.
Pvp:Seem like it
Those costume and putting duel stones on them(expecially on ib sets) makes you un-stop-able plus the fact with the skill notes to boost your attack skills and able to get repair scrolls and have the extra skill slot for high advantage in pvp(seriously, what mmo charge extra for skill slot?).

Everone have there own opiouns what they think of this game, please don't assume i'm complaing about the tiniest things in this game and wish everything to be easily handed to me for all the cons I listed have been a huge issues for years in this game.

PS: If I had to reccomend better F2P anime mmo or mmorpg game's that out in Western I would say "Dragon nest, Aura Kingdom and Mabinogi" those 3 games tend to have more content and context and true "RP" and fair rate price in Both Western then Elsword does ;3.But I do have other to recommend but there not out yet but coming soon.

That is all and have a nice day.

Everything in this game is so broken. The character arena gameplay is just so off balanced and the lvling of the dungeons is the same thing over and over again usualy to get boring at sometime. Everyone in the game is a butthurt little 12 year old. Arena is full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere. Don't even waste your time with this game. It may have some good graphics and ♥♥♥♥ but it sucks...

(TL;DR at bottom)

So I was talking to my friends one day, and they told me about "This awesome game called Elsword." So, naturally I took a look at it. At first glance, it looked like an ok game, I wasn't too into the art style as i'm not a huge anime/manga fan, but I let it slide, and was ready to try it out. So we (Me and my 2 friends) all created new characters so we could start playing at the same time. I went through the tutorial, and played a bit, and I have to say, I was frankly dissapointed. I'm just going to split this review into 2 sections, the good, and the bad.

Movement controls - I LOVE the movement system, it's fluid, it's responsive, everything a good side-srcolling game should have in a movement system! Once you take a jump, that jump is YOURS to control. You can manuever quite easily, and I'm pretty sure one or two characters might be able to fly or float!
Item management - The inventory system is nice, and the GUI is really spiffy, and nice to look at. There are different items and cosmetics that you can buy for your character for customization purposes, and you can even remove everything if you so wish :P
Skills - Each character has a plethora of different skills and abilities they can learn, with most characters having two or three different job classes to choose from, allowing for tons of customization in the way you do combat.
Graphics - The graphics are quite nice, and they don't strain your computer at all! They're very cutesy and cartoony, so if you're into that, this might just be the game for you!
Multiplayer - Any game with multiplayer makes me happy! The servers are well and good, and you very very very rarely encounter lag!

Combat - The combat system, where do I begin? Honestly, the combat sucks. There are a buch of different combos you can do, and that's the first thing people argue about when it comes to this games combat "gimmick" The combos are unecessary and pointless if you ask me, not only that, but the combat system is clunky and feels very awkward to control, it really is hard to explain, so bear with me. The moves don't exactly execute on time, making it hard to pull off the combo you want to pull off, which usually results in just using the basic attack to fight. I've been able to clear certain levels just by holding down right, and mashing the basic attack. (give or take some backtracking)
Characters - This is more of a personal nit-pick then a problem persay, the characters don't feel very...character-y...I find it hard to actually feel like I AM that character, like other MMOs There is no character customization system, and instead you are given a set of characters to choose from. I like making connections and feeling like I am my character in games, and I just can't do that when there are another thousand Ravens in the same town as me, I don't feel like I AM that character, I feel like I'm CONTROLLING that character, and I just don't like that.
Story - I don't really have much to say about the story, because I skipped most of it, and that's what I want to point out. I'm a lazy guy, and I'm sure at least some of you will agree with me when I say I don't want to sit there and read text boxes for an hour. Two words. Voice. Acting. That's all I have to say regarding that.
Gameplay - So, continuing on with the me and my friends story, I was getting bored fast, and they promised me that good parts were to come. Now, I'm sure that there would be good parts! But if your player gets bored, or frustrated before they get to the good parts, that is bad game design. What if in Legend Of Zelda, they made you fight Gohma over and over and over, promising that "You'll get to the next boss eventually, and it'll be fun!" See my point? You need to get something to grab the player, and pull them in, entice them, keep them coming back to play your game! Another thing that I will add is that I didn't notice any difference between the levels albeit a different boss and layout. It was just, "Do dungeon, go back to field, do a quest that usually involved beating up a few special enemies, do another dungeon" rinse and repeat to the max.
Music - I don't have much to say about this, but the soundtrack was lackluster at best.

Overall, Elsword is a slightly-worse-than-mediocre-game, it has its perks, but there is really nothing to make it stand out from anything else IMO. If i had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 3.5/10. Thanks for listening, and have a nice day :)

First off, this game is great. The combos are easy to pick up and are satisfying. However, it does fall flat in some area's outside of pvp. You will end up using the same combo's against the same enemies with name and pallot swaps with improvements to their stats instead of using new models. in pvp the matchmaking is terrible. it will pit lvl 10's against lvl 30's. even if you've been matchmade fairly it just comes down to who hits first.the gear does'nt feel like it makes a difference, and makes you look stupid. this is because the devs want you to pay microtransactions for in game special currency for the slightly less dumb looking costumes. no fast travel so you'll be walking EVERYWHERE. the dungeons are repetitive with again, pallot and texture swaps. i like the concept, but overall this game isnt worth your time. dont even bother.

Ok. I rarely give bad reviews but there is it.
First, the game is really great. Of course you have to expect grinding. And without being the most intense grindin game, it is quite high.
The characters are awesome. The gameplay is fast and great. The community will help you. There are patches and event frequently. Ranking system is well done and even if it could be more balance, they did a great job there.
It is a real good game.
BUT the free fact is just destroyed.
There is a great opportunity there. After finishing the game you can PVP. The control of the game are so interesting you could have another game itself right there.
But to equip to catch up and have a good equipment you would probably need a thousand dollar and a lot of luck.
I dont know the odds but if i'm right they expect you to pay 1$ for a chance of 1% to catch something and there is no other real way to get this anyhow.
I would pay 15$ a month for this game if it wasent of that side.
Instead of this ill just pass.

I dont reccomend this game for a multiple of reasons

1. Its some Korean ♥♥♥♥'s anime babe free to toss your money at me MMO-RPG
2. Some characters are way underpowered, (In my case the archer ill get into that much later)
3. Somecharacters are clearly overpowered
4.The match amking system for the Arena is total garbage
5. The community consists of a bunch of weaboo ♥♥♥♥s running around acting like theyre "kawaii desu" and feel the need to tell the world and satan himself that.
6. This game basically requires you to pay not just to win but to complete the game
7. Boring story, missions, characters, ect, ect..
8. Classes are extremely similar (Mainly in the swords department)
9. Basically the only variant between the sword weilders are the super moves and combos
10. The community sucks and is over-all just trash

(ill finish this at a later date elaborating what i mean in most of my points)

This game is so much fun, I was playin the the non steam version but the chars n account are sync with the Steam also.
I started playin this game 2 years ago, n its still fun until now. I even made it to rank A with BM when I was lvl 42 at 2012. Tat stats was rare breed in tat time but now rank A lvl 42 is meh :/.

why I not recommend this game is cuz if u live in Australia dont bother to play it, so much high ping, its hard if u on PvP.
sadly this server is NA.

if I could I want this game's server availabe in Australia too, so tat Australian Elsword's player can play fairly in PvP. honestly EVERYTIME in PvP I take the potions first but the opponents ALWAYS get it!!

Alright, i finnaly have a max lvl character and ive spent enough time in this game to write a worthwhile review. Ill split my review in 2 parts; PVP and PVE, Aka. Players versus players and Player versus enemies (dongeons), which are the 2 parts of the experience this game as to offer.
Lets start with PVE.
PVE consist of a set of dongeons, you go to the dongeon corresponding to your level, get some quests done, kill some bosses, nothing really ground breaking. The part that i hate about PVE in this game is that its REALLY REALLY easy, your party will just steam roll everything even on hard difficulty, later it gets more challanging but thats 100h into the game (if you make it that far) and even then its repetitive as hell anyway.
TL;DR PVE is easy, grindy and boring
Now for PVP.
PVP is quite simple, you go in 1v1 2v2 or 3v3 and try to kill the enemy, nothing fancy or complex going on here, you kill people, which is totally fine, not all games need 12 pvp modes. But it gets ugly rather quickly, heres a list of whats wrong with pvp:
1: The ranked system is based of your total win rate and ignore your level totally so having a lvl 40 face a lvl 70 happens really often and of course the lvl 40 gets pummeled.
2: PVP is pay2win, not by a lot, but still is, let me explain. You are limited to 4 skills at all times, however you can pay 10$ to unlock a second skillset and have 8 instead, effectively giving you twice the flexibility in combat. If you want to go far in PVP you better have dat 10 bucks.
3: Random items, there are some random items that spawn in the pvp arena which grants various buffs and bonuses, theres no problem here so far. The problem arise that you cant turn them off in RANKED pvp. Adding a element of randomness to a RANKED match is just rage inducing to say the least.
4: Lag, nothing much to say here, it lag and that sucks.
5: Balance issues; Some classes are just flat out broken and little is done in order to balance them.
TL:DR PVP is pay2win, laggy and unbalanced.
