Horrible UI, the whole menusystem aparently gets more and more incoherent and confusing as they patch the game - as of now, you have no clue how to freaking unlock half the things you need or if they really want money for it or it can be done with gameplay aswell... its all just one big pile of buttons and submenus thrown together.
On top of that the gameplay is just boring, wait, wait, wait - spawn... run, run, run get sniped (By someone who either paid to be a sniper or figured out how to unlock it), wait, wait, wait and do it all over again.
Machinegun users run at fullspeed, even while firing, so theres really not much point in picking anything else. Vehicles are as overpowered as you could expect, and it makes for some REALLY bad game experiences, not much chance of blowing up a tank - so everyone is litterally sniping with them at a distance.
All in all, if you have no other games, give it a shot - otherwise leave it be, this game got more and more broken since they started to add vehicles.

This game is awesome.
First day :
Im getting sick of all this crap ! Everywhere i go i get mowed down by 1 hit or 2 hits. Everyone is run and gun, run and gun , run and gun, really anoyed because i got no weapon mods. I buy gold and i make 1 hit kill rifle. And make it on a rwong character.... And then this forced auto squad-up is more than anoing...
Second day:
Finaly, after watching a bunch of videos on youtube i get a hang of this game. Buy more gold, make a 1 hit kill rifle on Recon. Epic fun begins.
I drop down to river bed after a tank spoted me and pepered with bulets and survive. Hiding among 'sea salads' i spot a sniper in the church tower window about 400m away. Zero in at 450 just in case and boom headshot. That was a PL guy and he went mental about it, i mean complete ape @@@@ ! He is driving around in his motorbike, jeep, runs around and clears preety much a whole forest near a church and im still there in the river pickign him off whenever he stops to aim, spins around with his vehicle or crashes into tree - boom he is dead. He is completely mad now. Round ends. :D HA ha ha.
Third day:
Finaly worked out everything and how it works, what to do and how to move around. Map is assault and its a town outskirt near a long bridge where enemy is comming through and tries to break through. Im on a rofftop where you can get to if you jump over 5 or 7 rooftops. Decided to have some fun and time my shots within aircraft bombdrops. So i scout enemy snipers, range in, when aircrafts drop bombs i shoot. Nobody near me knows im nearby shooting and enemy is just runing around fighting teamates. Snipers getting mad :D They finaly get me because they see my tracer.

Now, this game can be epic fun solo and especialy with a squad. Yes there are things that stand out and seem to be wrong, like silver earning and idiotic prices for repairs after match. But it all comes along nicely after a while, those things there for a very good reason. Over all it balances game, where is further you can enhance game with all kidns of mods, ribbons.

Yes game is still in development but it has moved along very far and its just amazing to play.
Is it PAY TO PLAY ? Yes and NO.
Yes you can pay a lot for gold and buy training and unlock stuf, mod stuf to its max potential. But unless you invest into ribbons and premium account boy are you in for a waist of money. Even if you upgrade to 1 hit kill weapon you still wont have a full potential and WILL DIE. NO because if you take your time to level up normaly and unlock second stage of items it wont realy be needed. Grind is heavy and long but without it upgrades are not rewarding and if you artificialy try to jump over it with gold its simply waisted.
Would i buy gold again ? No. Unless i want to have premium on account called veteran to get that extra XP and money.

10/10, would kill a polish sniper again.

I liked the game the fist few hours and the first few levels, but then after like lvl 5 or something everyone keeps grenade spamming in encounter, so i decided to go skirmish, and then everyone has ♥♥♥♥ing snipers with giant ♥♥♥ scopes, because they paid for them, totally pay to win, hud very confusing, no tutorial, only thing good in here is the bicycle. The guns until lvl like 20 are ♥♥♥♥, the only thing you will play with is the m1 garand, pls dont install this, it sucks

Alright, I've got some time on this game and heres my review:
Do not play this.

Whatever people tell you, its not hardcore, its not something special. Its a game with COD Type Weapon Mechanics and thats about it.
The only appeal of this game are the hard to get guns.
I've played for 96 hours, alright. And I've got 160k Silver, wethers thats good or bad. I dont care. Fact is its not even enough for one high end Gun.
Tank costs 180ish k? Well guess ♥♥♥♥ing what an SMG costs 220k - the logic is absurd.
Just had a match, where we were steamrolling some guys. But NOPE. Turns out they have ♥♥♥♥ing tanks. Oh. And i know what you gonna tell me. Suure, flank them, use AT. Well guess ♥♥♥♥ing what. Theres is litterary Zero AT on the lower levels of the game yet somehow i get put up against people who have MG34/MG42 whilst i've a grand and some greandes.. Oh and dont you dare ♥♥♥♥ing using the nades EVER that'll burn a hole in your pocket. The balancing is Nuts.

This game is full of glitches, lagging and servers keep crashing. The game developers don´t really listen to players and keep filling the game with unnecessary equipment but don´t do much on the issues about performance. Yeah performance well low end users don´t even bother to dowload as you will need some super computer to run this game.

Not a war game I would play.

These are some things I did and didn't enjoy about this game:
- It's free
- The level of detail is okay
- Map design is okay too

- Battles don't feel intense, sometimes there is a complete silence..
- Enemies are all over your spawns.
- People with SMG's or assaultrifles are OP
- Not exactly pay to win, but unlocking stuff takes forever, and you have to unlock stuff per faction/soldier.

If they just put a bit more effort in this game by looking around on some other WW2 games like the old Battlefield 1942, Call of Duty or Red Orchestra. And just take some examples of those, it could be a very cool game. But for now (and although it's fully released), I would not recommend it.

If you're a bit short on money, just play this if you want a WW2 shooter. But once Steam has sales and Red Orchestra is on sale for about 5,-, buy that.

Heroes & Generals is a great game.

All these casuals with 1 to 2 hours of the game complaining they don't get everything they want for free right at the start. What do they expect from a free game?

"Starting weapons are not competitive"
I sometimes play with the starter weapons cause they are very good, two hit kills to chest and they are very accurate.

"It takes too long to grind the weapons"
I have 500 hours on the game. Some might consider it alot of playtime, but for me it's mediocre. I nearly have the best tanks and all the most expensive weapons in the game without paying a penny. To the guy who complains that he can't use other classes in the game, it literally takes only 5 hours of gameplay to get any class you want.

Pro tip; Recruit many soldiers and make each soldier a different class, that way you don't have to worry about "not having" a class anymore.

This game has an unforgiving matchmaking system: after you play with newbies like yourself for 10 hours roughly, it will matchmake you with players with all kinds of high-level weapons and tanks and god knows what else. You'll have to grind hundreds of hours(literally!) or pay real money if you want not to just be a frag on a tiny bicicleta.

Everything terrible has already been said about this game, and rightly so. It only took until 2 hours of game time for it to bore me and annoy me. Heres some points that i took from the game:

- Just about every shooter game on the planet allows you to start off with a pistol, not this game, you gotta grind for it
- The grind to unlock weapons is absolutley tedious
- The starting weapons are poor and are out performed by every other weapon (which someone can pay for)
- Fixed spawnpoints miles away from the battle, youll have to grind if you want to parachute into the cap point
- Servers are usually down or the wait time is enough to make me not want to play at all.

Poorly thought out game in general, id recomend Rising Storm or Red Orchestra 2 for something worth your money.

The reviews may seem a bit negative, but dont let that turn you away. This game is good, great because its free. What do you have to lose try it out.I forgot to mention that this just released,it'll get better.Yes,it will take some time to get to the meat of the game...but hey ive only played 9.5 hours(at the time of this review)and Im already at lvl VI(or VII some thing like that)and already have a submachine gun a jeep, cargo truck, and more.so dont let these guys who are judging the life out of this just released, free to play, decent quality game, stop you from trying it out(and more than likely enjoying it).Enough giving my oppinions, lets get to the meat of the game.First off, this game incorporates many elements, most of which are realistic to a WWII battlefield. From the simple yet ever so important infantry unit,to the tank and fighter pilots that definitly add a special feeling to the battle. The fairly decent selection of weapons aswell as the wide range of upgrades for firearms and vehicles alike are something that alot of games(especially free games)are lacking.Graphicly speaking this game appeals to the eye,but doesnt give it a feast. In other words I give this game a 6.5/10 in graphics. Now for those who dont want to here a cuss word in every senctence this game has no words(litteraly no words at all, just whistles). The controls are simply yet offer the right amount of control so the simple users can handle it,and the complex users can use too.Im also going to mention that this game has wars that last for a couple, serveral weeks you do earn funds for this though.Another nice feature is that even though you just started...you can still get an enjoyable experience out of the first hour or so of gameplay.I only scratched the surface of what this game has to offer and what it will offer in the future in this review.Personaly I give this game a

I see big majority of bad reviews are coming from players who played a game for 1-3 hrs. I have played this game for a long time (it did not use to be on Steam, I played it since it came out). The game started of pretty good, but when they added it to Steam they kinda messed some stuff up. But around 1-2 months ago the game started getting better. Don't listen to those people that say that you have to grind enternity to get some good stuff. I haven't payed for anything and I have everything you can imagine, from Recon with camo and one shot kill sniper to a US paratrooper with a M1 Carbine (also tanks, cars, smg recon...) and this is one of the best WW2 games I ever played. It might not be the best, but it sure does not deserve this much negativity towards it. And to all who say this is a Pay to Win. Nothing good comes for free, you can't expect to just get in the game and level up like in CoD. Either pay (like you did to buy your CoD, duh!) or work to get the thing you want.

This game is hard. thats the rap of this game, its hard, but not impossible... As a player you are thrown into ww2 with the stock rifle. as you level up you are put into more advanced battles, tanks, cars, planes come into play, it gets harder and harder, but the trick is to SAVE credits, if you ♥♥♥♥♥ about tanks, buy a tank, annoy other players, it takes a while to get stuff. BUT IT IS NOT PAY TO WIN. noobs say it is cause its hard. this isnt COD. it takes skill and stragity to get good.

After countless hours on this game, and some rage, i give this (FREE TO PLAY!) game a 10/10, keep up the good work

This game was great fun for a time. Sure, some of the animations are a bit janky, and sure, some of the maps might have small gaps through which you can glimpse into the aether, but it was FUN. Think of it like a poor man's Battlefield. Capture points, gear unlocks, vehicles, all good stuff. I can't remember the last time a multiplayer game kept me clued to the monitor for more than a couple of hours, this game did.

But then. Once you level up your profile to a specific rank, your matchmaking group is upgraded into what I believe is called the 'Gold group', meaning that you will be matched against everyone else who has ever hit Gold. That's right, you're ranked by your play time, not your unlocks (which take a really long time, or a lot of RL money), not your skill, by your ♥♥♥♥ing play time.

Once I was placed into 'Gold' it was like I hit a brick wall. Everybody's got tanks, everybody's got fighter planes, everybody's got the best guns, while I had ♥♥♥♥ all. Getting stomped and not being abled to do anything about it is not a whole lot of fun.

What a ♥♥♥♥ing disappointment.

Its a PAY TO WIN game meaning that players tat don't want to splash money on it are instantly killed when joining most games, the SERVER CONNECTIONS ARE THE WORST I have ever played on and I could tell you at least 100 bugs/glitches that crash your game or make it unplayable.

What I find is most ironic is that is was released not long ago at all and its had more problems that what it did before, good job developers, you've just turned what could be an amazing and fun game into a pay-to-winning, server crashing, game bugging pile of s**t.

I congratulate you, really I do.
