About This Game

Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind’s last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

Brink takes place on the Ark, a man-made floating city that is on the brink of all-out civil war. Originally built as an experimental, self-sufficient and 100% “green” habitat, the reported rapid rise of the Earth’s oceans has forced the Ark to become home to not only the original founders and their descendants but also to thousands of refugees. With tensions between the two groups growing, Security and Resistance forces are locked in a heated battle for control of the Ark. Which side will you choose?

  • Not Just Another Hero – Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character – allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique. As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you’ll have even more opportunities for customization.
  • Two Sides to Every Story – Choose to fight through the single player campaign as either a member of the Resistance or the Security and then take your same character online to play cooperatively or competitively against other players.
  • Blurring the Lines – Take your unique character online at any time you choose! Brink allows you to seamlessly move between your single player campaign, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
  • Play SMART – Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you’re used to, without frustrating, artificial constraints and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you press the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you’re trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you’re a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you’ll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
  • Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You’ll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

BRINK is better than TF2, it has everything is purchased by ingame credits (No Real Money Paid For Ingame Purchases like skins, skills, weapons) + the graphics in BRINK is better than TF2 and there is no Lag at all, and you can change your character's class ingame without responding + you can customize your weapons like - Black Ops II -.

Pre-Release Review

Brink was promised to be the next big thing of the FPS genre and Bethesda's legendary smash hit. Unfortunately it was far too rushed so the developers could meet corporate deadlines, meaning it couldn't possibly deliver everything that it had promised, and what we did get wasn't optimized very well. The result was extremely underwheming gameplay. By the time they got around to fixing these problems, the vast majority of the playerbase abandoned it and didn't come back. Huge shame too, considering the amount of potential Brink had to be one of the best games ever, and I preordered it because I thought it was going to be just that.

The dedicated online multiplayer servers are long gone, so there's really not much reason to recommend this one anymore. Unless you like playing by yourself on singleplayer with bots.

It is a nice game with really new/fresh game play and style. I guess it is something like a breed of Mirror’s Edge and some fun/mediocre FPS with a quite big freedom/choice in classes and class creation. For the rest just check some youtube videos.

Please thumbs up this comment, so more people can see and do not spend their hard earned money on a false multiplayer advertised game and hopefully this will make Bethesda to put the servers online again, then I can highly recommend the game. Also be warned that Bethesda can do the same “trick” on any future multiplayer title in order to make you buy the next title eg. Dirty Bomb.

Unfortanately there are no servers for the US so that means no multiplayer for us.

SplashDamage if you read this: MAKE BRINK 2 and this time with a proper campaign and more maps that encourage parkour!

First time I played it, I was like SWEET THIS IS I continue to see it in my library mocking me as servers lay empty and well as major bugs still exist in the game... Some day my CPU teammates will figure out how to build that bridge instead of jumping to their deaths and when that day comes then I shall rule the world of brink.

Save your serious save it... wait until it hits the clearance bin.

Fun game to play, and has nice graphics but sadly you are playing with bots 99.9% of the time. I paid $7 during a steam sale, and now I regret it.
Wish there was a way to view gaming activity before making a purchase. Otherwise I wouldn't have paid and sent a copy as a gift to someone.

Better than Dirty Bomb.

Plagued because it came out at a really bad time and was (lets be honest) unfinished. The game you could tell took a nose dive during development and was rushed to shelves.

A fun multiplayer shooter with a good amount of story to expand its appeal. Combat mechanics are great and customization of characters and weapons is one of the best within this genre of games. With that said, it also has the feel as a partially completed game. The previously mentioned story is short and not exactly climatic, character customization is limited to only male characters, and the AI are either really easy to beat or extremely difficult. A personal favorite to play when bored or just looking for a challenging AI arena shooter. Should have delayed the release and kept working to make this better.

BRINK is a great story driven FPS game, where a team represents your personality. Gun customization is a great in this game. But there are no players online.
